Piece of Disney Movies Pins: The scenes that should have been PIC HEAVY

Hi all! Now that there is only one PODM release left, I thought we should make a thread showing the scenes that we think should have been included in the releases we've seen to date.


Personally, I will do my wishes of scenes that should have been for the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.

For The Little Mermaid, from what I've seen, the only scenes released were from Part of your World, Ariel's talk with Scuttle, and her getting yelled at by King Triton and Sebastian.

What should have been added would seem like a no brainer for this film:

1. Part of your World reprise - you'd think this would have been included :facepalm:

2.)Kiss the Girl:

3. Under the sea

I know this one is before Under the sea, but it fits.

4. URSULA/ Vanessa!

Who else would have killed for this scene?

and Vanessa almost marrying Eric:

The end scene of The little Mermaid would have been fantastic too with Ariel being transformed into a human by King Triton and her wedding to Eric. Eric and Ariel scenes in general would have been phenomonal and again, seems like a no-brainer. :dunno:


Now that I have bombarded you with Little Mermaid scenes that should have been, I will do Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.

OMGosh, it's so sad that TLM and BatB had such a poor selection The scenes are all good, but neither of the PODMs had my grail scenes (Kiss the Girl and Belle in her blue dress)... waah! If I was brave enough to do a custom PODM, I totally would :lol:

I wish they would have done different Alice scenes! We only got cells from one scene so there isn't much variety.

Alice in Wonderland: Any with Cheshire or Dinah
Little Mermaid: Any with Eric, Max, Ursula/Vanessa, or Flotsam/Jetsam
Beauty and the Beast: The stained glass windows, any with Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Gaston, etc.

and the list goes on...

Whats funny is the pics they used on Disneypins.com for the Lion King, Mulan, BATB, Monsters Inc, & Aladdin they never used those cells.
@Disneyvillainlovers - I really would have liked the Ariel signing the contract. That would be an awesome one.

I don't collect PODMs, but if I did, I would have a policy of not collecting scenes with characters that are already on the pin. IDK why, I think it would be cool if the pin became a scene itself so I would try collecting images that didn't have the people on the front on it (for example, since Belle and Beast are on the BatB PODM, I would try to get a scene without them). I also love the villains so I'd try to get a scene with the villains. Personally, I'd have tried to get these scenes:

P.S. Keep in mind I really don't know what scenes were available so forgive me if there is a scene that is just like the one I am posting...

Toy Story (if this was the image then it would have looked like a family photo with Buzz and Woody on the front of the pin):

This one is also a good choice because it looks as if the dog is still chasing after them:

Finding Nemo (can't beat this one with all the school kids, once again, a family photo):

Gotta love me some villains, this one would have been my scene to get:

Monsters Inc. (gotta love my villains):

(a better scene just because Roz):

Aladdin (I'm pretty okay with the scenes from Aladdin considering I would want any scene with Aladdin and Jasmine in it, but I have to say there is a lack of Jafar Genie):

Tangled (the scenes here were also pretty darn great but Mother Gothel was missing...such a waste -__-)

Little Mermaid(as a Little Mermaid fan this one was just utterly disappointing, I agree with pretty much everything in the OP, but I also wish this was one of them):

Lion King(just wanted some villains):

I was pretty okay with Steamboat Willie since I just wanted the scene of him whistling at the wheel of the ship...which was a scene

Mulan (we needed some Matchmaker):

I don't know much about Lonesome Ghosts so I can't comment on that one either xP

Beauty and the Beast (where was Gaston?!?!?):

(a group shot would have also been nice):

Snow White (anything with the Evil Queen is unbeatable):

Not to sure about Bambi because I don't remember much from it.

Cinderella had some great scenes because I wanted anything from when the Fairy Godmother pulled all those transformations...

Alice in Wonderland (needed more Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts):

Peter Pan (I just wanted one with Captain Hook and the Crocodile):

Pinocchio (Monstro):

The rest of the PODMs I was okay with in their scenes as well...this is just my 2 cents though.

So, so agree with everyone here. These could have been amazing, but I think the labor involved in selecting only the best scenes was prohibitive at the 24.95 price point.

The one B&B scene I was really hoping for was Belle riding Philippe through the forest and that one time when he gets scared and almost throws her off and she has that terrified look on her face while her hair is down and waving.

I would not be surprised if Disney DID make some PODM's with unique scenes that will not be released or they may sell at a very small Limited Edition at a very high price. You never know what Disney is going to do. Or am I just sounding silly?

I totally agree on the scene selection. I was really surprised there were no enchanted items in any of the Beauty and the Beast scenes. It was looking like Disney was doing more scenes with these last releases. (And of course there should have been some Queen of Hearts for Alice.)

Next year's big pin event (like Mickey's Circus this year)...imagine if Disney auctioned all of them off in a set of prototype PODMs O_____O with all unique scenes since they were prototypes...you may be on to something MickeyFreak, and it scares me.

I will apologize for being slightly off topic, but they need to come out with a Nightmare Before Christmas PODM. There are soooooo many cool scenes in that movie! I would imagine it would be a demanding pin too lol. I would keep listing pins of potential PODM that they haven't featured yet, but Nightmare Before Christmas I would think they have a variety of scenes to develop.

Oh and Cinderella needs more cooler scenes with the prince. There I contributed LOL.

Like I said, you never know what Disney is going to do. They could easily change their minds and continue this series into next year. We can only hope.

My boyfriend and I started listing reasons why they should keep the PODM series going (I sure hope they do!). Reasons why to keep PODM going: Nightmare Before Christmas, The Incredibles, Pocohantas, Lilo and Stitch, Brave, Wreck it Ralph, The Princess and the Frog, Mr. Toad's Adventures, The Adventures of Icabod Crane/Sleepy Hollow, Up, Winnie The Pooh, Cars, The Fox and the Hound, The Astrocats, A Goofy Movie, Roger Rabbit*, Mary Poppins*, Bedknobs and Broomsticks*, The Three Little Pigs, Wall-E, Ratatoulle, Spirited Away (How awesome would that be if they started doing the animi stuff lol), and many more others to continues the pin tradition for at least another year lol.

There were only a few that I wanted more scenes of, but the ones I wish existed are:

The Little Mermaid:

I would have probably plopped down $150.00 on Ebay to own either of these scenes with her and her sisters easily (though I'm sure it would have went for more). I also agree with the "Kiss The Girl Scene" and "Under the Sea". I am still floored that those didn't make the cut...

Also, this scene just because it's Ariel's first dance as a human. It's a special scene cause she sings about wanting to do it so badly in "Part of Your World". Plus, any excuse for more Ariel x Eric moments is good

Beauty and the Beast

This was my personal grail scene for this movie. I am heartbroken that this didn't make the cut I also would've liked to have seen the kiss scene at the end as many others would have.

Hahahaha cause let's admit it, John and Michael stink next to Peter and Wendy and Neverland mermaids ;D

These just would've been nice. The Tea Party is an iconic scene but you think there would've been some with the catepillar too. These are just my personal favorite picks that I wish existed
