New PTD Rolly???
I think for these mid-level characters, LGM, Rolly, Hook, etc. the PTD's have always traded fairly even. Especially for the ones in the last 18 months or so. Shouldn't be too hard to trade for a lot of these with one you get whenever it is you end up going. (For locals that is.) I'm not too worried. Once Hook sells out, whoever is next I can probably trade for a Hook. I'll save my long lunch favors at work for the biggies like the future Rapunzels, Kevins, Carl's, etc. of the PTD collection.

Hook - yet to be determined

If Hook lasts a day too, then DSF is in trouble (if they projected one or two a week) and will be trending closer to 25 - 30 pins a month. That's scary good product movement. Hope they have lots of those things on hand.
 
that is quite scary how fast they are going. maybe DSF might change it so only a PTD is released at a normal pin release on a saturday so reducing the amount they need to get made and securing their current stock for a longer time period so more can be made and then there should be no time where a PTD is not available.

they go to quick and may end up having a shortage again.

And it's no help that for $12 you can get back +/- $25. And when I posted I needed TLGM PTD, I was PM'ed from two people that just joined the forum 5 weeks ago saying they can sell me 1 for $30 shipped.

Actually on my way for Hook or wajatever is current. Sucks because it most likely will change tonight. :-). Remember DSF closes early today at 7pm.

Someone that collects these and has more free time to be online should post a master list and update it as soon as they can with the new PTD...it's crazy how fast they're going and we just like to see the characters they come out with just in case we have to make a mad dash to get an Ariel/Belle/Brave pin

Not sure why, but this pin really makes me laugh! Maybe it's the idea of Hook sitting at the counter with a float.... Dunno, but it just tickles my funny bone!

Yeah, I think this will be the one to determine if there's a new trend or not... Yesterday there were 300+ people heading to the store anyway, so they snapped up LGM... And most of them hung around to see what was next and bought it too...

Now that everyone actually has to make a trip back for them, we'll see how fast they go...

Actually, if DSF were smart they hold PTD's and release them on non-buys days to boost sales and foot traffic. They will be packed on a release day. It's the random thursdays or tuesdays of an off-release week they need business. But I think PTD's should ALWAYS be available. It's about the only guaranteed way tourists and travelling pin collectors can get a pin. They just need to up it to like LE500 so the pins slightly drop in value and are worth maybe $17-$20, not $20+. No reason any of these should be more than $20 unless it's a big time character. The people get ice cream which is worth probably $4, the pin is $13 with tax. So the pin is basically a $9 mini-pin. At best it should be $15-$20, anything else and you're just being greedy.

How has the lines been lately? Is it still backed up and 1 person taking orders?
 
The PTDs are supposed to be available all the time. They simply ran out and had to wait over a month for more.

If the torrid sales pace of the first two pins continues, they will likely run out again.
 
6pm Today- Traffic all around Hollywood Blvd. was extremely slow with the concert for Jimmy Kimmel, one lane being closed, & the preparation for the "Muppet Movie" filming happening all at the same time. I gave up & went back home. :cry:
 
Wow have PTDs gotten really popular O_O For someone who collects them, do you mind if I ask what is the draw? I can understand if it's your favorite character or movie or in your collection, but I never understood why PTDs are so sought after? I'm not dissing them or anything, I just don't get it. Can anyone explain it to me lol xD Is it because I'm not by DSF?
