I hope you can take a pic and share it with us, but of course if it will get anyone in trouble then I will totally understand why you can't. I am just so anxious to see a more detailed pic of her.
 
I can't wait to see her! Anyone else think that the "surprise" Ursula will actually be Vanessa? I don't know, but I'm secretly hoping it is! :)
 
They would not let me take a picture but wow. Just wow. Definitely one of the more beautiful LE dolls they have ever made. Her hair appears to be ssprayed hard to avoid frizzing. Her top had a beautiful sculpted look to it with a dangling seashell charm. There is a teal starfish in her hair. Her tail has a gorgeous color, a deep blue green, unlike the greyish seaweed we thought before. Unfortunately the stand is rather visible, but that is her only downside. She is LE 6,000!
 
Thank you so much for describing her to us. I'm glad she has a higher LE. That was a smart move on Disney's part since of all the Designer Princess dolls she sold out the fastest. Did she have anything in either of her hands? What color is her top?

Thanks for the description! She sounds gorgeous from the way you describe her (was already sold with the leaked pic, but still). Did Disney get her right and part her bangs to the correct side this time? Rooted or painted eyelashes? Are her tail fins long and full, and/or sheer?

On the LE number of 6,000 is it normally a smaller amount of dolls released? What is the normal number for the 17" LEs?
 
I'm a little surprised they made her a 6000. But I guess that goes to show how popular they believe Ariel to be. I don't see any other reasoning for that action haha. I'm glad she's beautiful, I can't wait to see her in person!

Pirate Princess Ari: For the "princess" type dolls, all of them up until now (not including Merida) have been LE 5000, so making Ariel 6000 is a little unusual in terms of consistency. And just looking at the leaked pic, it doesn't seem like her bangs are parted on the correct side, unlike the Designer Couple concept pic.

I agree Auroradawn that is odd that they increased her to an LE of 6000. I just hope that if they increased her because of her popularity they will also take the same page out of their book in relation to the new designer set and ensure that the edition size reflects the expected demand for these dolls. I know stitch kingdom did mention it would be 6,000 as well but Im still hoping that when it is officially announced it may be a little higher.

Ladyroselie I am hoping that at least for one of the dolls they do an edition size similar to Merida last year which was 8000? (If my memory serves me well) but then again who knows they could change it up depending on the popularity of the movie/character. I mean Calhoun only had an edition size of 1000 but then again we are expecting these frozen characters to become princesses so surely they are bound to follow in the steps of Merida.

With all these changes though it really proves that it is not about consistency with Disney but marketing and what sells. Therefore you never know what to expect.

*EDIT* okay so ive never done an in store preorder for one of these dolls (i really want to do it in person for this one and get the voucher and see it in person for Ariel as she is my favorite)

so in your guys opinion, what time would be best to get there? the store opens at 10 and the mall opens at 5. i figure 5 is probably the BEST shot but seeing as it is an hour to 2 hours away thats a liiiittle early for me and my aunt to drive there. so what time would you think would be best? if it is 5 i will make that sacrifice but if you think i can get there later that would be great! lol

I usually try to get to my mall around 7, asour store also opens at 10, but I am normally the only one there until about 9

LE Merida was LE 7000, and it was LE Wedding Rapunzel was LE 8000. :) Those have been the only LE dolls so far that were more than the LE 5000 of the other Princess LE dolls. I think it is interesting that they increased her LE size, but I also don't think that they originally thought that there would be a lot of people out there that would be aiming to collect all of the 17" LE dolls... Obviously, there are a few of us out there. :p It does make me feel a bit more confident knowing that there will be 1000 more of her out there to go around.

It just occurred to me that the numbered back stamp on LE Ariel will be quite visible on her for deboxers, so posing opportunities may be limited to not show that as well as the visible doll stand.
 
LOL thanks for correcting me Shivatopia, im sorry my memory can be shocking haha.

I really do hope that trying to obtain Ariel will not be too difficult. It never has been difficult to obtain a Disney princess LE doll so hopefully that wi still be the case this year. Although Ariel is one of the more popular princesses so may sell out faster than past dolls.

yeah im hoping its not too hard to get her either. im hitting the store really early so i can get her there and im going to preorder one to unbox online....shes my favorite so i wanted one to have in box and one out of box lol!
 
I'm also planning out going to my Disney Store to pre order her. Since in Michigan we only have two. & since I moved i'm a half hour away from mine. Which is a lot closer then almost two hours like before. I've never pre ordered a doll at a store before but, reading these posts helped me a lot so thanks everyone. =3

I think she is exquisitely beautiful! However, another CM who was there said he thought she was ugly. I love her seashell bra, it is beautiful and a work of art in itself although there was some disappointment that it is white and not the purple that it is originally. It's hard to say but I think most will be satisfied. She is really something else!

I meant to try and take photos today but completely forgot. I will *try* to get some tomorrow... I do not know if I will be allowed to or not though.
 
She has rooted eyelashes, and a lot of them! Her lips are a beautiful pink, and her mouth is open to reveal teeth. She has beautiful blushed cheeks, too! Unfortunately, her bangs are on the wrong side though :facepalm: Silly Disney...

Even the straps of her bra are sculpted plastic golden coral. The entire bra is lined in pearls. And the fin looks more like petals than scales. (Like the petals on a fake flower?). The fins of her tail are ENORMOUS and are curling around the bottom of the box. The whole tail has sparkling dark teal jewels on it, too.

I'm not sure if anyone can get to her back stamp, through all of that sprayed hair! It appears to be sprayed SOLID, too! :o

So she doesn't have the normal tail over legs right? It's just a tail? U need to sneek in at night like a super spy and snap a high res. pic! I'm dying! Lol

My gosh, she keeps sounding prettier and prettier with every description! As for the hair, does it look like it's going to be a problem for deboxers with all that hairspray?
