A possibility could be that Disney Store have done Eric and "Vanessa/Ursula" as a LE two pack? I hope not, as I would personally prefer more detail on the villain alone, but I'm excited to see what lies ahead.

I really doubt it's a two pack. I feel like it would have said that rather than just mentioning a Prince Eric doll that's sold separately.
 
Ok,so yesterday day I got to the store are 7:30 and my friend and I were the only ones there for about an hour or so. Only 5 other people showed up, and the store had 15. I was actually able to preorder 2, 1 whenthey opened and 1 more after everyone else already got one
 
It's funny. I thought she was going to sell out in minutes (I used to collect things that were limited to 250 pieces), but somehow I'm surprised she sold out so fast, being less than two days.

How does this compare to other princess preorders? This is the first one I preordered, so I never paid attention.
 
Darn, I was thinking about purchasing a second one too!....I have the feeling she may pop again at least once before selling out a second time
 
If she really is sold out, I'm sure it's a record. I looked at the first page of this thread, and Merida took two months (exactly) to sell out, while Cinderella lasted at least a month. I mean, I'm assuming she went on preorder around this time last year, and she was still available late August.

Before that, I don't think there was enough hype about these dolls to sell out any faster. I wonder if this means the momentum's picked up or if it's Ariel's popularity.

Now I wait for Jasmine. Her dolls are always so pretty.
 
Yup, for a 17" LE doll with an edition size of more than 1500 or so, LE Ariel has set a new record (LE Mother Gothel and LE Lady Tremaine both sold out quickly, but they were both only LE 1500). That said, these are only pre-orders, so there is a huge chance that between now and October, some people will cancel orders, thus freeing up some inventory and of course the Disney Store could be holding some on the side to deal with quality errors after the dolls have shipped. I just hope this was more of a case that the Ariel fans out there are just more numerous and on top of things, as opposed to it just being the sharks...
 
Glad I preordered her right away instead of second guessing myself. Was expecting her to sell out pretty quick due to her popularity. Looking forward to the other dolls.Come on October!

Yea someone on eBay JUST posted ariel with the heading "sold out" , it's as if they had been reading our comments.... Hmmm?
 
Wow that really was fast.

The fact that she has a larger LE than most of the other princesses means that people are starting to become more aware of these dolls and will just make it harder to buy the smaller edition size ones. At this rate my guess is Ursula will probably only last a couple of hours if that.

I actually had to call the Disneystore then as my credit card had been charged twice for the same order. They told me that because it was just a hold on the card the was done twice by mistake but will be released within a week, but on a plus side that means that my order definitely did go through! Can't wait till Oct now!

Did you notice another listing also had 3 for sale! That's ridiculous means that they bought a minimum of 4 dolls and means that there are a possible of 3 people that missed out on getting her at retail.

I saw one about an hour and a half ago that had the same headline, what a joke! It wasn't even sold out then. This person also had 5 to sell! Makes me sick.
 
Yes Ursula will be difficult to get, and btw did anyone else notice how slow the disneystore website got as soon as ariel for posted for purchase, I mean if that wasn't a coincidence, i don't have much hope for the 2nd designer release or Ursula /Eric.
 
My personal theory with the LE Eric/ LE Ursula is that we might not actually see "Ursula" at all, but rather Vanessa. Yes, of course they didn't call it "LE Vanessa" but Vanessa is not her own character, but rather Ursula disguised and Disney might have just called her that as better marketing/ to interest the people who do not know the movie by heart enough to know she was even named Vanessa. It makes sense to me that they were advertised TOGETHER in the last bullet and we're already getting an Eric in sailor outfit with the Designer FT collection, and it simply would not make sense to have him in a wedding outfit without an Ariel in wedding outfit. If they released a Eric and Vanessa doll, it would be easy to do them in the outfits where he is being controlled. Plus, it is a lot easier for Disney to manufacture thin dolls, and this would be a cheap way out for them instead of disappointing the fans with another pint-sized Ursula... I don't know, I guess it is just me hoping for some Vanessa merch for once! This probably isn't the case ( but a boy can sure dream!) :D

I'd be surprised if she does not make it to the UK and Europe. In the past, I think about 10% of the dolls or so were reserved for the overseas market. Given the increase in popularity and the edition size of LE Ariel, who knows? Maybe more than 10% will be sent. We will be able to see when people receive their shipper boxes in the UK for LE Ariel, as the carton number on the shipper box indicates how many are available there. :)
 
I am shocked, in part. I thought she would sell out "fast" but by "fast" I thought a week! I'm so glad I didn't hesitate.
I am thinking if a store already has an Ursula, if that is true, she may come before Eric. It seems strange that they would have her so soon ahead of the pick-up date.
 
I'm really hoping it will be a full sized Ursula. Ursula as Vanessa Id have to think about. It would be quite the rarity to have her. But I think if they made an Ursula of that size and with the intricate designs they've given the 17" dolls she would be quite impressive. And as far as speculation on an Eric I think it would be more plausible that they would give him his sailor suit design.
