Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I can take it or leave it with the stand. With the tail being posable, I can try to hide it with her tail. I just hope my doll doesn't have messed up hair or a bad paint job.on that note are there any collectors who display their dolls outside their boxes? I can do it with my Hot Toys figures but haven't done so with these dolls.

I debox all of my dolls. I actually started that because of Wedding Rapunzel, her veil is just too pretty to hide in a box. I thought about it for a long time before actually doing it, and I never had regrets. I think they look a million times better out of the box, haha. I do keep my boxes, and when I have a big house later on, I will put them next to each doll, because I do love the look of the boxes, and I think it's cool to have the name and edition size of the dolls next to them. I might even consider taking Ariel of her stand and buying some aquarium stuff from a pet store for her to sit on, because I really really don't like the stand haha.

^^^And you can see that the front of the doll stand doesn't sit flush against the box, lol.

The visible stand doesn't bother me at all. And I'm a sealed doll collector. However (don't hate me) I also preodered another one to open this time around...

Are you kidding me? I too am a sealed collector, but when Maleficent finally gets released, I am buying like 3 and deboxing at least one. Probably the same with the Queen. Don't know where I'd feel safe displaying her (them), but oh my, they will get prestige placements. ;)
Also, I'd probably reenact the episode from Will and Grace where Jack has the Cher doll. "Yes, this is the real Maleficent. Please stop gauwking." ;)

Unpopular opinion - I wish they'd make a 17" LE doll of Giselle in her wedding gown.

Unpopular indeed. Your opinion is wrong because Narissa is the better option! ;) Could you imagine how glorious they would look?
I WANT HER CROWN TOO!!!

But really, I am sort of grateful that they didn't make any because I wouldn't have known of them and was not in a place where I could just drop 100$ from my savings on a doll like I thankfully am now.

 Yes please!!!! :bigthumb:

I would LOVE that! I think it would be a great choice for a smaller edition doll. I Love Giselle. Actually I think I would want her in the teal drapery dress even more but I'd take her in any of her fancier floofy dresses.

Also some stores do still have her available. If you act quick, don't mind doing some hunting and calling to find a store, and are able to drive to them or have someone else drive there.

RIGHT?!?!?! If she is actually being released, I am going to be hitting up the online website to order one and hopefully getting it. And then, I am taking myself and like 5 other people so we all can get in line, that way we all get a raffle ticket, at least one of of gets called, and then just kinda doing a confetti in the air with the rest of them so that the other people can get the doll too. ;) Ok, well probably less dramatic, but yeah...I AM GOING TO GO CRAZY TO BE SURE THAT I GET A MALEFICENT DOLL!! Maleficent and The Queen have been my grails since before I even bought my first doll from this collection.

Giselle would be wonderful!!! Although I'll admit I'm REALLY looking forward to Frozen and I REALLY hope they do the two girls from that movie!!

I would love Giselle and Narissa dolls. I also would love it if Disney released 17 inch dolls of the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. It would never happen but they would be epic. This year is the 20th anniversary of the movie so maybe....

I really want a full figured Ursula. I also can not wait to see the Maleficent doll. If they make her but next year is going to be all about Maleficent/Sleeping Beauty how can they not? I hope they do her completely like the animated character and don't go the route of the QoH's and combine the animated and live action character. Release all the Angelina/Maleficent merchandise you want but gimme my Mistress of all Evil in all her classic 1959 glory!

OMG Sanderson Sisters dolls would be so freaking amazing. Hocus Pocus is my favourite live action Disney movie so I would buy those dolls in a heartbeat. Too bad they don't really do merchandise for their live action films, except Pirates and Alice in Wonderland.

what about a Mary Poppins LE Doll just in time for saving mr. banks. But what outfit? I like the nanny one the most when she first arrives.

I adore you and everything that you just wrote. :D

I'd be happy and grateful if they made the Sanderson Sisters as a part of the "Disney Movie Collection". I mean, come on...they could go back and release SO many dolls from live action movies and people (especially people like us) would buy them up in a heartbeat. That could be like a secondary way to release characters during their movie anniversaries.

:soapbox:
And, PREACH! I'll buy a doll of Angelina as Maleficent as an addition to my Disney Movie Collection (and actually do look forward to that a tiny bit), but as an addition to my Heirloom Collection...OH HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLS NO. IMMABEPISSED if that happens. I've been waiting for this character to be released for, how many years now? LI-VID, I will be.

And I am getting off my soap box now. ;)

I hadn't considered that. I think its safe to say they will make a maleficent then, with the movie coming out and all. A Philip would be nice and flora fauna and merry weather. Maybe not the fairies in 17'' but to scale with them. Getting maleficent would indeed be an all nighter. But back to the 17'' le Ariel, I think they designed her more imaginatively to be on par with snow white 17'' when she was released. her outfit and design was a further departure than then all the princesses since her in the 17'' le lineup. all the le princess are much closer to their original styles.

Hello everyone. First of all thank you for all the info you guys put on this forum. I have been following it for a while to keep up to date with collectibles. Second here is the video I saw from Disney Store facebook! And guess what? It has a shot of Ursula and Eric!! 36 seconds in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXdk2R21_Hs :)

LE Ursula is FAT!!!! (But she looks weird). And LE Prince Eric is in a variant of his wedding outfit... Look around 0:39...

Haha, I just saw that video, too, from the designer thread. At first I didn't even realize it was the 17" LE doll because she looked so strange. I wonder if it's a prototype. She looks too shiny, like she's painted purple and not molded that way.

Also, Eric's hair looks rooted. Phew!

LE Ursula's proportions look about the same as the classic doll, but obviously in 17" size, which is a bit disappointing. Her face looks like it was filtered through the 1950's Barbie lens, in the same way that the LE Queen of Hearts does. I'm not loving that. Her hair looks great and at least she is fat. :) But the Mattel Great Villains Ursula doll from the late 1990's still takes the cake as the best Ursula doll ever made (though she is in 12" scale).

LE Prince Eric does look like he has rooted hair, but it looks like it could go really bad in terms of styling. Let's hope that the one that we can see in the box is really only an unfinished prototype, because it looks like he has a cloud of dark hair like a well-worn, played-with Ken doll with rooted hair.
