sHARE YOUR dOCFISH pIN pARTY hAUL!
What wonderful pins! Glorious pins...our haul was very nice as well. Thanks (again...) for the wonderful meet and greet

I had an amazing time last night! It was so nice to see old friends and make new ones, and to finally put some faces to long-familiar names!

Thrilled to see David, Amy, Lisa, Brian, Echo, Carissa, Ryan (AgentR), Aragorn, KSnuggles, SuzzieSue, and Mike/Diablo again, amongst others! And I finally got to meet GoofyMoe and his gorgeous wife Rebecca, and DisneyCrazee and Possum2x and WonderlandsDarling - and I know there's more! I apologize if I left out your name, or if I called you by the wrong name in person - or continuously forgot your name throughout the night! It's hard to say I'm sorry with this foot in my mouth, but... Yeah. I'm so sorry!

Anyway, here is my amazing haul...

I hardly made any trades all night because people kept zapping me! I did manage to trade for the Rapunzel and Snow White princess crests in the first picture. The Toys for Tots pin came from Carissa, from a game on the forum. Echo zapped me with Princess Tiana (yes! Only one crest left!), and Aragorn gave me the adorable WDI Chip and Dale pin.

Everything in all of the other pictures was zapped to me by David. (WHAT?!!??! I'm serious!)

I was zapped multiple Figaro pins from my most wanted list - including the Minnie & Figaro glow in the dark Halloween jumbo grail I've been after forever... the Tick-Tock carousel pin which I've always loved but is even more awesome in person... and :screeches: my #1 GRAIL!!!!!!!!! - the 60th anniversary Disney Store Peter Pan 5-pin boxed set!!!!!!

I am still overwhelmed!

Thank you to everyone for making last night something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I love you all!

Hey Moe, I am super excited that there are no picturea of my just the back of my head in one of the pictures. My best side.

Yay for the bag! Glad I could help facilitate a happy and safe return and not have that end up with sad faces. Thanks Echo and Moe for the help as well.

Wow that looks like a good time, well as good as it could be without me and she who shall not be named....you know that potty mouthed chick from Jersey ;)

So excited for those that made it and of course the happy ending regarding the missing bag makes it all even better! Nothing sucks quite as hard as losing an entire bag of pins, no matter how small the bag it bites.

Congrats all, now David get home ASAP, my DPF mailbox misses you :(

It sounds like a wonderful time, kind of makes me sad though. All of you know each other and know each other in person and have so much fun, makes me feel like I'll always be an outsider, it's hard to get to know someone who you have no relationship with. I think maybe it's why I've avoided trading online all of these years. I'm glad all of you had fun though. Looks like some really great pins were zapped and traded.

You all look like you had soooo much fun! Congrats to everyone on your AMAZING pin hauls! This Sad cast member had to work. :( I can't complain too much though because I leave for my 1st trip to WDW for my 21st birthday in a week!

Love the pictures!! Would love to put names to the faces though. Hey David, what did you get in the Zagfish Zap Bag?

We all start on the outside looking in. You get to be on the inside when you start to meet people on here. I had met a few people in person before our big trip last April, but as each trip and party happens we get to meet more and more people. But I have traded with a ton of these people over the 14 years I have been trading. When I came to DPF I was a wall flower and didn't do much. But the more I got to know the people here the more I realized that there are a lot of really nice people here and I consider it an honor to be part of this great big family. You may not realize it, but when you signed up you became part of the family also. Make the effort to get to know people here, it is well worth the effort!!!

Love the pictures!! Would love to put names to the faces though. Hey David, what did you get in the Zagfish Zap Bag?

Pictures will be coming, but we just got home and it will be a day or two before we unload everything and if my history stays true to form, I will probably have my pins updated by the time we go to Jersey in October. The bad part of pin trading in person is having to redo all of the pins. I know poor me.

To everybody who came out and made this party the huge success it was, THANK YOU!!! We had over 80 people at this one. It was great meeting the new people and it is always amazing to hang out with our old friends (not to say that those friends are old, just that we have known them a while ) As long as people still want us to throw these we will keep doing it!!! It is fantastic to get together and have fun with our DPF family, new and old!!!

Thank you to everybody who was kind enough to zap us some amazing items!!! I have said it before this is a magical place with some amazing people and we are so blessed to be part of it!!!

I want to especially thank Darlene and Nena, without whom we would not have had this amazing space to throw the party.

The management of the Peacock Suites was amazing as well and the rooms are very nice!!!

the jealousy is painful...there i said it. Miss you all terribly and if Davids pattern is the same than i have to wait til Dec. SO EVERYBODY ON DPF BETTER BE THERE DARN IT! except Mike he can stay home..

Nope, no December this year. We are heading out to your neck of the woods in October this year instead. Our next party will be next year.

You were missed. Many people said it. Amy even raised a glass in your honor.

It was a great trading party. Thanks for letting me be a part if it. David you did a fantastic job of organizing and keeping it flowing. Can't wait for the next one!

I had SO much fun putting names to faces! Carissa, Sara, David, Amy, Darlene, Nena (hugs and more hugs!) and so many more. Even got to meet a lot of the Instagram people I follow!

Will post pictures of my acquisitions tomorrow! (I won 2 of the raffles...oops lol.)

Again, it was so nice FINALLY meeting so many of you. (Suzanne I forgot you said you were going to be there and I wanted to meet you :p next time!)

@Always_enchanted..... I am fairly new to pin collecting as well as this forum and I know how it feels when starting out especially when coming into what feels like such a tight group of people that seemingly know everything about each other. For me there were some very obvious cliques that have faded away and there was always some new drama going on here, it was like being in high school with internet gangsters, you know the kind of people that cry if you look at them but act all big and bad behind a keyboard....ridiculous as it seems there was a time when quite a few of the so cal members actually spoke of themselves in the third person and as some sort of royalty to boot lol. There is/was a "cool kid club" and was a group of many an absent and inactive members now but when I joined they were some of the biggest bullies on DPF and ran away many, many great newbies. They would defend each other for sharking, using kids to buy pins and several other dirty practices and caused a lot of people to give up collecting altogether. It's very difficult to intimidate me so I just told them to suck it and talked to those without their heads missing in deep dark places.

I was able to sift through the garbage and shake out quite a few diamonds thankfully and I am confident that you and any others that are feeling the same way can do the same! I have made some great friends from our talks here that lead to email, texts, phone calls and even in person meet ups. One member in particular checks in with me pretty much everyday and when they don't I get pissy lol. It takes time to make new friends be they in person or online so please don't feel like an outsider or left out. Talk/type to people that you find interesting or that you seem to have similar interests, that can't be too hard because we all LOVE pins (except the sharks that pose as collectors) I'm sure they will respond and everything starts with a single step.

There are so many possibilities and there are people that I talk to here that are very different that me and we seriously have a blast getting to know each other. I hope you can feel the welcoming embrace from at least some of our members, if I am too weird or loud for you their are lots of straight laced and far more subdued members to talk to as well. You have a large range to choose from when looking and most people here aren't just here for the pins, we are here for the fun and friendships as well.

Good od luck and get out there and make some friends!

Wow! Everyone received some awesome pins!

This was such a memorable event. I was so sad to leave and to go back to the reality of work and life... This party was awesome, and this was the most I have ever traded anytime! Thank-you to everyone who I have traded with! I will be making a post soon... I just need to edit the pics! Here are the pins that I ended up getting from my trades.

I was so excited to get this pin! It is so much prettier in person!

By the way, I traded with Suzziesue for an awesome Darth Vader pin. I did not have a picture with it, because I gave it to my friend as a moving away gift. He loved the pin! :)

We definitely need more of these parties! Thanks so much to Darlene, Nena, Amy, and David! You are all awesome!!!
