2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
I'm not sure the aim of the couples was to show them being in love if I'm being honest, I thought the core or inspiration for all of them was the moment in the film where the princesses and their princes share that unique moment of knowing there's a connection between them, but are not ready yet to confess they love each other.

For me personally, the way Snow and the prince are depicted reminds me of the beginning of the film, where Snow is cleaning and singing and the prince interrupts her. When he joins in the singing, she runs away. I have a same feeling with Flynn and Rapunzel, the scene with the lantern is that one moment where they both feel there is a special connection between them. The other three couples are quite straight forward. :)

I agree! I think they have captured these moments! Snow always did run away and the prince was often just in the background. The ariel and Eric set reminds me of the town dance! I personally love all their poses especially snow and ariels, and jasmines. Jasmine is my least favourite just because I don't like Aladdin that much lol. The only thing that bothers me is that you can't see Flynn :/

Regarding shoes! I don't get why they put flats on them, I can live with it because you can't see them. I was hoping Ariel had her black heels like in the movie x

Wow, Snow is looking fabulous with her hair down! It almost looks like we were meant to do this to our dolls, but Disney never told us

My local store had a TON of Snow White and Prince dolls over a week after release, hopefully Rapunzel will be the same... I'm nervous for her to be released! :anxious:

Just a couple of detail shots of my D23 Snow White <3 THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH to TheOtherSteve for his help in my acquiring this doll!!! I am so grateful...I can't stop staring at her! <3 <3 <3

I didn't take off the slip cover Those pictures are though the acrylic plastic case

And thank you everyone! And thank you Steve again! <3

Congrats on being able to land a Snow D23 at retail! She really is a stunning doll in person.

I believe book hugger was referring to the cardboard cover that Disney uses to cover up the acryllic cases to prevent them from being scratched.

Did you have a difficult time taking the slipcover off? I've heard that the D23 Snow's slipcover was difficult to remove, that it was like it was sealed with the clear plastic.

Yes that is true, a lot of the D23 exclusive slip covers were so difficult to remove. The problem was I noticed during the expo that you should check it because there was one that had a huge crack in the acryllic case. Thing is with all the chaos it made it very difficult to find the time or space to slide the slide cover off without doing any damage to it. It is almost like it is the slip case creates a vaccum effect hence why it is difficult to remove. A lot of times the acryllic case would come off from the base as a result of me trying to remove the slip case so I found that I had to use my nails as they were thin enough to distinguish between me pulling up the slip case oncstead of pulling both the slip and acryllic case off.

Yes, I found it (slipcover of D23 Snow) very difficult to remove too! It ended up being a joint effort, myself trying to hold the base/plastic while my friend tried to take the slip cover off! Haha, it felt like it took forever because I was so excited to see what the dolls looked like!

I Noticed That Too. my Disney Store Still Has Snow White Available. Shes my Favorite So I Bought her The Day She Came Out. Im Going To Be Skipping Rapunzel However.

Yeah, mine was near impossible to remove, too... and even more impossible to put back on! I ended up just letting the weight of the doll pull the case off (I held it over the ground with the weight pulling the doll down, while I held the slip cover LOL) because I was too afraid to pull it in case it ripped... I wonder why this is? My regular Snow doll's slipcover is easy to take off, as are the Princesses and Villains slip covers... weird!

It must be the magic of the D23 sticker!

Me too! I will definitely be getting Rapunzel and Eugene!

Oh and the D23 Snow White....oh my goodness! I thought I was never going to get the slip cover off! My fiance helped me get it off by using a can or air, to get some air underneath slip cover. Then when we finally pulled it off I found my case broken.......gah that was so disappointing....

I think bookhugger meant the cardboard cover too, I thought it was called the slipcover too and the see through plastic the acryllic case, but I'm not a doll person so I have no idea what these things are called. It took both sis & me to take the cardboard cover off without taking off the clear plastic acryllic case underneath. I first tried taking the cardboard cover off and the clear plastic was coming off the base too!

Ugh, the magic of Disney!

My Snow White arrived today:D love her! The new designer bags are my favourite of all the collections so pretty!I was going to undo her braid but her hair is rock hard so I chickened out undoing it lol going to pick Rapunzel up in store because I'm so impatient when it takes a week to come by post.

Ever since someone pointed out that Rapunzel's hair is cut, it bothers me more and more. Her cut hair should be brown. ;) Actu7ally, I would love to see a doll made with a small bit of brown cut hair somewhere.
