2017 Pin Releases
More pins from Japan (Disney Store, to celebrate their anniversary). Apparently sold online, but sold out. Still in stores. Pictures courtesy of Sarah Brave on Facebook:

Pins from ACME/HotArt that are first available to their sponsors for $150-175 each ($150 each if they buy all 5, $175 each if they only want individuals) and if there are any extras, will be sold to everyone else for $225 each.

Is the subscription service the same as the sponsors? Didn't realize they were the same thing.

If I understand correctly, the subscription service is through ACME directly, but the sponsorship is an annual thing for Pinpics.

Every time a new ACME LE100 is released, I breathe a sign of relief that it's not something I collect.

Even if it is something you collect, it might not be the best looking pin.

*Peers at LE 100 ACME LK pin. >_<

If done right, these pins can be very stunning. I will likely have Snow White and Elsa available for trade or sale. I am nor sure of the others yet.

They're very pretty I think. Of them all, I'd be looking for Elsa, but I'm not sure even $150 is worth it (it's least expensive retail). If they're done well I foresee them being marked as grail for a lot of people.

Acme is hit hit or miss though. I love the Remy cake pin and a few others but the rest seem a bit over the top and too stylized for me.

Unfortunately, at the least expensive price the cost of the pin is about $200 each. In order to be able to get the pins, there is a donation of $225. That adds about $45 to the cost of the pin.

Golly. That's just so expensive. I mean, there are very very few pins that I would actually pay that much for. And I don't really think any of the acme ones so far have reached that point. :(

I agree but think Judy and Nick PTD. Crazy prices.

It could just be that I'm a Scrooge / a poor, but I don't think they're worth that. XD I'd say there aren't even many SitS pins that hit triple digits for me that I would pay for. But again that's me. XD I know some would and do. :3

Part of the problem with Judy is the sharks. People on FB seem to think she'll drop eventually, saying she'll just be hot for a minute. But I agree with Merlin. None of the Acme pins are really worth that kind of scratch to me personally (well, neither are the PTDs but we're taking retail versus flipping prices). Granted I have maybe two or three pins I've paid about $100 for each, but those were worth it to me.

Of course I'm not calling you a shark Disneykins! Selling them at little over what you paid for them is reasonable, recouping time and effort and all.

I imagine some of these acmes will ask at least over $100 from retail and it'll be a crapshoot if flippers get it.

I'm with you both and feel the same way. I very rarely sell pins but have with some of the Acme LR and some dupe DA pins. Acme is one option to purchase pins that are accessible to those who don't live in Florida or California. Occasionally, Disney Shopping releases something good but otherwise, most are purchasing and paying secondary market prices. If it wasn't for Merlin, Tessa and others who help the community, there are very little options available. Thank you for all your efforts.

Oh yes! I'm not quipping what people are selling them for, I'm talking about the original cost from acme. :3

They are pricey. No doubt.

I figure they would probably go $50 over retail. Not a lot of people have that much to shell out $150 + shipping per pin (that's if you buy all 5) or $175 + shipping per pin (if you don't buy all five) plus the $225 sponsorship fee to PinPics to get these.
