Cinderella 2015 Merchandise

Thanks for sharing! Wow, MAC Cosmetics online releases sound as stressful as DS doll releases.

You're very welcome! I was surprised when I heard the stress she had to go through too. The situation was almost identical, but at least we know what time the website updates for us while people who buy MAC products don't.

Had to go to three stores and call half a dozen others but I finally got all the Cinderella MAC makeup I wanted. Sheesh! Nearly every store was sold out about two hours after opening.

I also stopped by the Toys R Us to check out the Mattel dolls. I was very disappointed in all of them except the Blue Dress Cinderella one. My mom got that one for me and I am going to keep her, but I don't think I'm going to bother with the others. From the initial photos, I really liked all of the Mattel dolls much better than the Disney versions, but after seeing them in person, I think the Disney ones win hands down. Disney should hire Mattel's photographer.

i was thinking about possibly getting the cinderella MAC make up but i just kind of want the cases. but then again, what would i do with them? lol

kind of wish they would release more merchandise but then i don't, cause i don't want to spend more money. haha!

need to call disney store to check if they will be getting the dolls. i have not been to a limited edition doll release so i'm kind of worried, especially since the dolls are coming out online first.

This was me, too, especially about Lady Tremaine. She looked really nice in her stock photo but in person I was so unimpressed. It's the exact opposite with Disney Store blue Cinderella for me. In the stock photo she looked blah, but in real life, I just can't get over her adorable blue poof of a cupcake dress, which is how many layers? Like 4 at least. I think it's amazing, and in fact all the Disney Store film collection outfits are amazing. With so many pin pals posting positive things about the Mattel dolls, I had such high expectations but they just didn't match the quality (e.g., godmother dress, that 90s barbie hologram sheen material, vs. the disneystore regal edwardian ice blue gown).

I wonder if people were basing their opinions on the stock photos? And/or thrown off by the serious expressions. But seriously, the quality of the clothes on the DS film collection are divine, I'm not surprised Mattel was not able to match it.

Yeah, you can really tell the difference in quality in person. My mom had also picked up the Mattel Wedding Cinderella for me when I couldn't find it here initially, but after finally seeing it in person today, I think am going to ask her to return that one. The wedding Cinderella in the DS couple set is of a much nicer quality than the Mattel wedding doll.

The DS Fairy Godmother is my favorite. She is such a beautiful doll! I wish they'd make a 17" LE of her.

Some people do some amazing things with these dolls. The likeness to the actor/actress is amazing. :hs:

Wow, these look great! The face sculpts on the Mattel dolls are actually pretty good. It's mostly the clothing and hair I didn't care for. In the boxes I saw, the hair was all over the place, but I guess for people who do their own customs that kind of stuff doesn't matter as much.

I lined up a half hour before MAC opened today and was 8th in line, there were about 50 in line by the time we went in. We had to write down our orders and the pulled they merchandise before we entered the store. I got all of the items I wanted except for the white glitter, apparently this store only had 2, strange. The packaging is absolutely beautiful. I don't wear a lot of makeup but I think these colours are very pretty and neutral. I got the eyeshadow palette, powder, mascara, lipstick and lipgloss. I went to Hot Topic after and got the Cinderella makeup bag.

It was the white glitter that had me traipsing all over town! I finally tracked it down --- I got the very last one in the entire city I think. I also got the eyeshadow palette, the beauty powder, the Royal Ball lipstick, and both lip glosses. Both of the lip glosses are so similar; I wish I had only gotten one now. I'm like you, I'm not a huge makeup person except for special occasions, but I thought the colors were very nice and ones I could definitely use.

Question... did your makeup have any seals or plastic covering at all? This was my first time getting makeup from MAC and I was a little weirded out that there were not any seals or plastic covers over the makeup. The eyeshadow had a round sticker where you open the box but that was the only one that was sealed in any way.

Is anyone else panicking about the LE Wedding Cinderella doll coming up? I just keep getting more and more worried thinking about it. I feel like it's going to be like the second designer couples pin set, where it sells out before the link gets posted (which was the worst feeling ever). That's my horrible fear right now.

How can it be sold out before the link is posted? Is that something like people who work for Disney (corporate or Disney Store), have the item number and buy it before anyone else can? If so... that is seriously messed up. I just can't think how else it could happen.

**I am super nervous. I've had to sell things to afford Wedding Cinderella so if she sells out before any of us even have a chance it would be majorly upsetting.

I know that Cast Members and Disney employees are not allowed to order any LE dolls in the stores, but I'm not sure if they're allowed to order online. But if they can, then this explanation would sadly make sense if the dolls were sold out before customers could find the links.

Someone once told me this was the case with pins -- that Disney employees had access to the link or item number beforehand and that was why they always sold out so fast --from either employees ordering it or sharing the link/item number with friends and family.

If what this person said is true, then I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens with the doll, unfortunately.

It makes sense for the dolls they receive in store. However it seems like they wouldn't be able to get the online exclusive wedding Cinderella's item number since only the online workers would know that information since it isn't being sold in store.

This person was referring to pins that were only sold online and I don't know if he necessarily meant cast members or if he meant other employees. But this is just hearsay. It's very likely he didn't have a clue to what he was taking about. You would think that sort of thing wouldn't be allowed.

I'm sorry. It was just a thought! I hope it doesn't happen, I'm just really nervous. I fully admit that I have no clue how it happens!

Don't be sorry. You're not the only person who has thought that! As I mentioned above, someone told me the same thing about the pins that are sold online. I don't know how people get these links either, without the item number. It is completely nerve-wracking!

Good luck getting your doll!

I am very nervous, too.

At $500, I'm not sure I would be so worried about it flying out of stock. Sure, there's only 500 of them, but it's also 4X the price of the next highest priced LE collectible from the movie. Also keep in mind that after resellers got burned so badly by the Sleeping Beauty dolls, it's much less likely they'll be going after something this pricey, which should help some as well.
