My friend just cancelled and now I have an extra ticket to Cinderella today. Anyone in SA wanna go? XD

The blue Cinderella probably won't be that bad for in store purchases. But, online sales are a lot easier for scalpers since they do most of their work from a computer anyway. And if she does sell out fast, you can bet it will be the same scenario as the latest Frozen dolls: flooded market and dolls soon settling close to retail.

I'm glad I can live without both dolls. If I see the movie and fall in love and want one, I'll settle for the blue, but only if I find her at / close to retail.

It's so funny to watch all the Frozen dolls on my local classifieds drop and drop in price. The asking price has gone from $500-$200. And they're still not selling. I can see that happening with the blue Cindy.

i feel like there is less interest in her too. yeah, it's cindy, but it's not cindy. haha. i see a lot of people on the iffy side about her, which is red flags for scalpers (although they will be getting the dolls anyway) and further decreases interest.

i mean, i'm still kind of shocked about the mac collection being sold out so fast but i guess that's to be expected and it's useable.

one thing is for sure, i'm not sleeping on thursday, or else i'm going to wake up at 10 and be like "uuuuuurgh missed everything." time for some cary grant comedies and homework.

Cindy will be as hard to get online as the Frozen dolls were? I really want her but can't make it to the store. Will try my luck online at 3am. I really hope I get her

In my personal opinion, as long as you're up and ready to order I don't think it will be hard to get her. :) She has a decently high edition size, and lacks the Frozen hype. You never can tell I suppose, but I'm not concerned about the ball gown version.

So the soundtrack came out today, and I decided to buy it. I haven't even seen the film yet, but the score is GORGEOUS! Its so sweeping and beautiful, and there are plenty of nods to the soundtrack of the original film. I love all of the vocal tracks as well. Everyone who buys the soundtrack gets the song from Frozen Fever for free as a download code, but the site to download it hasn't gone live yet.

The UK site has been down for a loooong time now (internet time-wise). That doesn't happen often, does it?
 
Its been down since sunday, i wanted to check on a an order and they are unable to access any orders whilst the site is down, it was meant to be up by tuesday afternoon and its now wednesday evening! What if its not up and running by friday? Im panicking a bit now. They cant confirm when it will be back up. Im surprised its down for tis long, surely they are losing business??? I wonder what they are updating?
 
Just came out of the cinema from Cinderella! Loved it! Loved the dress!! Frozen Fever was adorable! So many details, I must make Elsa's dress now :)There's a nice nod to Broadway Cindy if you catch it... and fans of the book "The Ordinary Princess" will notice something familiar as well. Still humming the music haha I was grinning the whole time :D So many feels! I think this will do pretty wellOh and the sisters were pretty funny too, I think Drizella/ Sophie McShera (Daisy in Downton Abbey) slightly outdid Anastasia...
 
So I have a question will the links to purchase LE Cindy in the ball gown be posted here or in the LE doll thread? I have nerver don an LE doll release online before. I really want her I think she's gorgeous and I do love the 12inch movie doll in the wedding dress. Thanks for help

I know! I've always likes the princesses in their "peasant" outfits the best...Cinderella's maid outfit, Belle's blue dress, Sleeping Beauty's Briar Rose outfit...

Thank you for posting as well amm3! I never realized Cinderella's costumes were based on Victorian fashion before; I used to think they were just design ideas from the animators. :) But I suppose there has to be at least a loose interpretation of historical fashion for the princesses (especially after all those Frozen articles about rosemaling and bunads, lol).

Anyways, it'll be a treat to read about the ball gown in part 2 today! :)
