So, someone posted on the DPF Facebook that there are people lined up for the BatB PODM release already...

  1. Today is Wednesday.
  2. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.
  3. Friday is the release.

Wow. Reminds me of those people who camp out for a week for the Best Buy Black Friday deals. Well...good luck to them. I will be enjoying my Thanksgiving meal...and then I have to work Friday...boo...but maybe that's okay since this release is obviously crazy already...lol
 
I really REALLY hope that it's because they actually thought it was on Thurs instead of Friday. And if this is true, SOMEONE needs to TELL them!! Cause that's just seriously crazy =.=
 
The website indicates that "lineing up before 6am is respectfully discouraged" or some such nonsense. It doesn't actually say, "NO! do not line up early!" Or anything about them removing you from the line if needed....

But yeah, if anyone is going to DLR today, please stop by the line up area behind Rainforest Cafe and tell them it is not til Friday. Please? That way we know if any of them stay, ignorance is ruled out.
 
I just called guest services. Apparently the CMs know they are lined up and they are allowing it. What a shame on Disney's part for stating rules and NOT enforcing them. I can only imagine the frustration of someone who drives to DTD from hours away only to find out that they are out of wristbands, even though they did exactly what Disney says What a shame . . .
 
lol... wish i was closer to go line up also. got to get my ebay sales up for xmas shopping. pins pins pins... almost like money money money :facepalm::facepalm:

I didn't think any of the regulars were willing to be in line that long. It makes me curious as to who has decided to get in line this early. Guess I'll find out later... as in early Friday morning. I'm willing to wait, but I don't miss Thanksgiving meals for pins.
 
Having done many over night lines at DLR it is actually quite fun! I would not miss Thanksgiving with my Parents for a pin though. NO pin is worth that! I would rather try to pre-trade or just buy secondary market.
 
I am so very happy I do not collect these pins. Good luck to all of you with getting this pins! I hope there are some really good scenes!
 

ok...this is just to funny. I posted the comment on the DPF facebook as a joke...hmmm wondering now if there really are weirdos out there right now!!! If your a weirdo and out there right NOW!!...please comment for us all.
 

maybe if we all called to complain they would change their tune? lol I doubt it, but still.

However... if thay want to wait in line for OVER 36 hours. thats their problem. Regardless. My only beef with this is that disney is not inforcing their stated rules.
