The Disneyana Fan Club is one of the oldest and largest Disney fan organization. Their annual convention is during mid July around Disneyland's birthday. The convention ends with a Disneyana show and sale on Sunday, July 22 in the ballrooms of the Crowne Plaza Garden Grove Hotel, corner of Chapman and Harbor. The Show and Sale is open to the public at 11 am with a $6 admission; DFC convention attendees enter earlier at 9 am; DFC members enter at 10 am. The DFC shows/sales in July and in January are the only times that the general public can have an opportunity to buy WDI pins and merchandise. Most of the big Disney secondary market pin sellers will be there. Bring your credit cards and money!
Don't forget the room hopping Friday and Saturday nights on the upper floors of the Crowne Plaza.
So if i go to Mickeys of glendale would I be able to pick these up?
I want a Jessica!!!!! Hnnng they are gorgeous. I love Jessica (naturally as I cosplay her whenever I can xD) and also love 50-60;s fashion so some of these are just adorable! The Minnie and the Ariel one and the Toy Story are gorrrrrrgeous! Loving how sh'es rocking the flight suit too just like Metal Gear Solids EVA!
If anyone can get me one I'll love you forever! Why can I see me needing to trade one of my upcoming Brave LE's for this? :anxious:
I'd be willing to show up early and line up but I don't know what the rules are. I'd imagine, since this takes place in a hotel, they wouldn't been too happy with people camping out in their lobby.
Can someone explain how the 22nd works? Sorry, I'm just a little confused... Besides the WDI merchandise, will there be other sellers there? Will there still be a chance for those who come in after 11, to purchase items?
Ever been to a flea market? Now imagine all the booths are selling nothing but Disneyana. Every type of Disneyana you can think of, not just pins. One of the booths is WDI, Soda Fountain usually has a booth. But the majority of the booths are by private citizens selling stuff 2nd hand (although you'll find plenty of mint in package stuff too).
There will be plenty to buy after 11AM, but maybe not the WDI released specifically for this event pins. But there will be more pins than you know what to do with, available for sale. But since it is secondary market stuff, watch out for scrappers.
