Okay, not that great of a photo for a close-up, but I'm happy to see the design on the case is black instead of gold for these dolls.

I totally agree with you Selithiel. They horded those by the ton and they are still trying to sell them. I even hear that LE Wedding Rapunzel didn't sell for much more then retail price on Ebay. So yes they are not making a killing buying a ton of dolls they really don't want to jack up the price to 5 times as much as retail. Even allot of collectors don't want to buy into that. I think we have knowledge now and they are spending tons of Ebay fees re-listing them again and again.

wow this collection is looking amazing!! would someone ve willing to help me buy the mugs at cost prices if they dont do them i the UK ? i had to miss out on the princess mygs cause people wanted nearly £200 for them and i just couldnt afford it!

This collection looks fantastic! I really really love the Mother Gothel one and it'd be neat to have the villian to go along with my Rapunzel doll. However, the fact that they plan to hike the price up for these dolls makes them a little less appealing  I'll see how my bank account feels come September to decide whether or not I buy Gothel!!

I couldn't afford the Rapunzel or Mulan when they came out, and I can't afford Gothel. Adding to my 'I'll never be able to afford this, but would love to have it' list!! She's gorgeous!!

I agree the video makes everything look more appealing.... oh clever packaging.
All the villains will get their own journal and mug like the princesses. but I LOVE the pedestal feet on the mugs instead of them being round. it adds a lot.

maleficent's pose in her box is making me reconsider her just because the stance is so very.... maleficent. but i probably won't be able to afford her.
in her box the evil queen also looks quite regal and menacing. I think she'll actually be an excellent companion to the designer snow.
i'm not thrilled with gothel's pose- what's she doing with her hands?? I feel like she needs a prop or something. at least in the out of box pictures she looked poised and elegant. but we get to see the front of her dress for the first time! a simple sleeveless satin v-neck with no embellishment.
queen of hearts also looks fancy shmancy with her sideways glance and golden heart scepter.

what's the black book next to QoH?

So from the video it looks like the Evil Queen (like Snow White in the Princess Designers) gets the most product. She's def. on the paper of the stationary set and like Snow she's on the compact mirror. not sure if those are scarfs or shirts but EQ claims two of those, maleficent and cruella shown on the others but apparently all the ladies will have apparel.

there are *two* cosmetic purses this time, one has Ursula EQ QoH, the other has QoH Ursula Malef.

looks pretty awesome they're doing a great job getting everyone hyped up about this.

Can I second this request please!!

I will be stalking the mugs like crazy (I missed out on the other mugs because the store near me didn't get any designer stuff with the princesses and I kept postponing driving to the further mall), so I'll try to get as many extra sets as I can for U.K. people.
Edit: It would be helpful if people can pm me with specific character requests; I can't make any promises obviously but as I know I'll be hunting these down like a crazy woman anyways, picking up extras shouldn't be too difficult.

I think the queen of hearts is much better in the sketch than the doll. The velvet for her jacket is just too heavy for the balance of the dress. But that won't stop me from trying my best to own her. I plan to be up early to pre-order my set of dolls. With such a large edition size it shouldn't be too hard to get a set. Now if I can just find a reasonable priced Ariel I'll be good.

I think we have knowledge now and they are spending tons of Ebay fees re-listing them again and again.

That's not necessarily true anymore. Ebay changed their listing fees so that you can now list a ton of things as an auction (vs buy it now) for free. So they might not be getting penalized with fees, but they sure are going to have a hard time selling them. Well, except to someone like me who wanted a Wedding Rapunzel with short eyelashes so I had to cherry-pick my doll. I ended up spending about $30 more than what it should have cost to buy her direct. But she is lovely and ha short eye lashes and I didn't have to chance getting a long lashed one.

I'm a little sad that the LE number of these villains is going to be so much higher because I think it limits their long term value, but then again it means I will hopefully get the ones I want! I only was able to get Rapunzel and I was THE LAST person in my line to even get a doll.

I am very excited for the dolls. Not very excited for the hassle of trying to get them. I'm hoping the upped edition size will make them last for a few more minutes than the princesses. At least enough to get through the transaction process.

Well, naturally I'm bummed that it isn't a Designer Leading Ladies series. Was SO hoping for Jessica, but some of the Villains dolls are nice. I didn't expect them do to any male Villains but I did think they would do ten dolls. Mad Madam Mim, Medusa, Lady Tremaine and Yzma would have been awesome! And Queen of Hearts and Ursula being skinny, don't know that I like it. Fingers crossed for next year - Jessica, Tink, Sally, Alice.
