Woohoo! Good news and bad news ...

Good news ... Donald arrived safe and sound about an hour ago and just in time to go fishing tomorrow assuming the weather holds. I hope Donald brought his sea legs.


Bad news ... I'm hearing crickets from my pm to Hidden_Miki asking for her address. What is worse is that it looks like she hasn't signed on in over a month. Does anyone have her address?

Well ... wouldn't you know it. The day that Donald leaves ... and we finally get our first day of sunshine. Nothing but rain, doom, and gloom while that albatross was here! :lol:

Nonetheless, we made the most of our Sunday and I decided to take Donald fishing ... weather be dammed. Visibility was next to nothing and we had no business being on the water, but at least he'll have some stories to tell. He got to spend some time talking to some long lost cousins, almost got eaten by a Spanish Mackerel, and even took a turn at driving the boat! We'll forget about the part where he ran us aground on an oyster bar. After we got back on dry land ... I figured I needed take Donald to church to count our blessings!! We are in the bible belt after all.

Thanks sooo much to Jacob for the Window to the Magic zap!! My Hannah will love it! I've been trying to get that one. I have a new zap along with Donald and a postcard on their to back to Cali.

Alrighty ... Here are a few more pics of our dreary day in the Cola ...

Here Donald and I set off onto a very eerie morning. Donald got excited and saw one of his long lost relatives, the Pelican, and thought he give it his best impersonation.

Here we are almost running into a BIG boat near the port. Did I mention how hard it was to drive with a camera in one hand and Donald in the other!
After that we stumbled onto some more pelicans and Donald decided to chat it up a little bit ... talkin' about old times.

After Donald's encounter with Dorkfish, we made it church and he found this goofy lookin' kid that needed some help on his easter egg hunt! Atta boy, Donald.

Then we hit historic downtown Pensacola to Plaza De Luna where Donald got to meet King Juan Carlos I

You know ... you pick easter eggs with a kid and they'll follow you everywhere!! :rant: sheesh!

I thought it was important for Donald to honor our men and women in the armed forces, so we also checked out a few monuments. Yes ... we have a scaled down version of the Vietnam memorial. Why??? Because we can.

... and then off to see the nearby Missing Children Memorial.

and last but not least ... you'll never guess what we stumbled upon ... in Pensacola of all places?!?

Ok ... local legend is that it's the remnants of the chimney for the old lumber mill, but I'm not buyin' it. :lol:
