Did anyone but me remember that DPF will be 1 year old in a couple weeks? DPF needs a birthday party!!! Ideas???

Well.......... Isn't there a PTN in a couple weeks? Why not celebrate DPF's birthday by having some sort of get together (food, drinks, etc.) after the event?
 
That would be nice..but alot could not make it..:(

I know..it's the only thing that came to me where a lot of DPF members will be at :( It's so hard to plan something for members when there's members all around the world :(
 
I think something more like a big chat or a contest or something online might be great, so that everyone can participate in it!
 
We can try to break the stat for most users in chat at one time. And there should be some sort of flash giveaway every hour of the designated chat party. Lol
 
Maybe a raffle. people donate pins o other disney stuff which can be sent to one of the mods by a chosen date and then when they have all the items they can hold a raffle in chatroom or live webcam chat (dont know how that would work) each person pays like $1-$2 for 5 raffles tickets etc
 
Wow, that year just zoomed by really fast. I guess that's what happens when you have good conversations, great fun, and the best pin traders in the world. Not to mention the games, prizes, and everything else. I think a big chat bash is in order and I'm in.
 
Someone poke Bricklayer. That mass chat and raffle sounds cool! Buying raffle tickets and drawing winners during the chat would not only be fun, but if you charge a dollar a ticket it could raise some serious, serious cash for the site. I know I would drop like $20 on tickets. And the winner would not necessarily be present to win either to compensate for the timezone difference. Entry into the drawing could be a dollar a ticket and one pin per person to go into the pot. And I think our wonderful mods should throw in a free DPF pin and lanyard too! ^_^

It HAS been a really good year, hasn't it? You guys are our adopted family (WE :hug: adopted :hug: YOU)!!!

I feel like there's been a discussion about raffles in a past thread, and there were some issues with it. But if it were okay to do it, it sounds like it would be really fun.
 
A raffle type prize thing would be cool but I agree that there could be issues. We could maybe do "skill contest" like warped pin puzzles, Guess the # of pins in a bag,Disney art contest (we have alot of artist here) and maybe a big disney trivia game on chat :) lets make this a great big celebration!!! :)

So many of us joined right from Dizpins when this site first popped up. Can't believe it has been a year already!

I've been here from the start! I remember I got invited personally by the mods, I was so happy to be included!

I remember when Joette posted links to the NEW forums...I joined here asap on the 16th and the forum opened on the 15th...So I think I was right after the MODS
joined..cannot be sure though...maybe a video contest would be good..I actually have a couple made and ready to go..so maybe we could do that

I don't even know how to make videos. :( I think this might exclude a lot of people.
