You can mail your pins with tracking for $1.64, for up to 3 oz (4-5 regular sized pins), and you don't have to go to the post office at all.

I receive so many pin packages with $2.80 in postage, and I just feel sad. Then I add the probable cost of the Ready Post envelope instead of the smaller bubble envelopes sold in bulk, and I get even sadder. Wouldn't you rather save all that money and spend it on actual pins instead???

This is a very old topic, but I think there are newbies who don't know.

Also, there will be an upgrade to PayPal sometime this year and we will be able to mail international packages this way too - although the cost is higher, and tracking is not available.

Wow that's cheap. :( problem is that my lap top crashed so I do everything via iPhone

paypal will be able to do international shipping soon. Already, if you sell international on ebay and use paypal for shipping it does the customs info for you. much better pricing than the post office as well.

Thank you for letting us newbies know about this.

I've used Paypal before to pay for flat rate boxes, but never for the bubble envelopes I use to mail pins out.

Do you know if you have to know the exact weight of the package when paying? I don't own a postal scale.

I cannot figure out how to use the postage feature on PayPal. Do you have to be an actual seller on eBay to be able to use the postage feature? I don't sell stuff on eBay but I would sure like to use the postage shipping on PayPal. It would save some money that's for sure!

Been using it ever since Nikki showed it to me and IT IS THE BEST! No lines, no driving, just pring tape and go! I do 2-3 standard pins at 3oz and every pin after that an oz and its still cheap! i just shipped 6 pins for 2.62 i believe which is cheaper than standard POST OFFICE. And the international at the PO just went up and its almost a deal breaker for me to trade over seas, but somebody post when international comes into play--that should be great.

Go to paypal.com/shipnow instead of your regular paypal home page. it links you in to a page with your info filled out. the only problem I have is refreshing after each completed post.

Yes, this. I also have that page bookmarked so I can go right there. If you have a lot to ship, you can also open multi-order shipping once you are in Paypal and enter one after another, then print them all at once.

If you have an eBay account, you can also get a stamps.com ebay membership that is free--great for printing international first class postage.

I have heard about this (but I still like to go to my post office!) - what can I say?

Anyhow, if you don't want to pre-pay for your postage, you can use USPS' Shipping Assistant (now renamed Click 'n Ship). Install the program on your computer and you pay for postage at regular prices (although delivery confirmation is free for first class/priority mail; $0.19 for media mail).

Thank you, I will have to check into that and see if I can figure this out.

Where do you go to sign up for this? Ebay or Stamps.com? I don't trade much overseas because it's such a pain to get to the PO and do the customs paper.

Thank you for posting this! I've been doing it the old fashion way, but will definitely look into these options!

We,too, mail the old fashioned way. I suppose it is time to take another step into the present day and try to figure this out. It would be good to avoid lines especially during a holiday time. Money savings is always a good thing.

We purchased a digital scale on eBay for $15 USD and it works great! It can weigh up to 45 lbs.
