Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Oh yes but then self-doubt starts to creep in! As a newbie myself i saw the March dolls already on sale on ebay and US collectors saying that they'd bought theirs already. Eh? Once I realised some of the quirks of the US store and European I was up to scratch. But sometimes you do start to doubt yourself which could explain the questions (just trying to rationalize it). I think maybe because Disney doesn't announce, like in a magazine club catalog, at the start of the year its up and coming releases like so many companies do people are still not sure about it all - hence the constant questions. This forum is so useful. The brilliant info is all community led. I know friends who collect everything from Star Wars space ships Barbie's to planes and they know exactly what to expect and when via their according clubs they've signed up to.......also maybe the fact that the dolls sell out so quickly with Disney products plays a part in that doubt - so they just wanna be sure.
I gotta say though - this forum is so insightful & interesting. I've also found it very welcoming.
Never really thought about the good and the bad about surprise doll releases:
Good: Scalpers won't line up at the door, buying just for resale.
Bad: Not having enough money for the doll when they are available.
I never really thought about why they would want to keep LE dolls so hush hush. Is it to keep the people who aren't fans, and just want the doll to make a quick profit away? Is it so fans can get that rush of not knowing and seeing a brand new doll they weren't really expecting? Or is it just the demand so exceeds the supply they don't want the stores/internet overwhelmed?
I agree.
With the success of Frozen, I've assumed that they will release BOTH hans and kristoff. So for the past few months I've been saving up as much as I can.
It could be half n half. Mine hung up when placing my Elsa order. Had to open a new browser and start over. And I have decent interwebs.So.. question.
I was in Florida when the pre-orders were released (BTW art of animation is amazing, but has the WORST internet) And I noticed that the Disney Store lagged a lot.
Do you guys think that it legitimately lagged or was it just that I had terrible internet?
You have no idea how many times I would have to repeat myself on this forum, I think I had to answer the same question about 5-6 times. Like yourself I had to do the research on these dolls myself and at the time there was no informative thread or a source where all the information was available, so you can imagine how hard it was to find any information on these dolls. This is also the reason why I created the informative thread and even added a FAQ section so that all the information was available in the one location.
Rumours it will be no surprise dolls released with March 18 Elsa _Anna.
^ You have a nice taste. ^^
I love Rapunzel, she's my second fave character and her doll is beautiful as well, which is why I finally caved in and bought her for the current price.
It doesn't really matter how many dolls you have - even if you have zero you're still more than welcome to be active hereGuess having an opinion/interest/love for these dolls is all you need.
Welcome!
Welcome to the Forum. I'm new too!
I know how you feel... I missed out Arielle too, and The Little Mermaid is like my all time favorite Disney franchaise. x_x Rapunzel is so pretty, ur very lucky having her. I wish I would have bought Tiana back then when she was available. Also good luck in getting Anna/Elsa/Kristoff in 2 weeks. Since too many people from the uS pre-ordered them, DS only has 1000 dolls available for Europe, means 500 from each. Usually we get 1000 from each doll. And we'll probably just get like 100 Kristoff dolls, so you need to be very fast!
Welcome nayaichigo and Bagcifreak be warned once you start collecting these dolls it can be very addictive! Lol, that and and a very expensive hobby by the look of things but it is fun and they are totally worth it so as a tip never second guess yourself if you have a chance to get the doll because odds are that if you take too long to decide they will sell out so fast and you will miss out and will probably regret it because their secondary market rate will just shoot right on up, especially anything frozen related.
Thank you! Do you have any LE dolls or plan to get?I'm planning to get Ariel as soon as the Frozen craze is over with haha! Ariel is one of my favourite princesses too. I remember mum drew really big Ariel and Flounder for my 3rd or 4th bithday party! She likes the LE doll Ariel a lot too. (^ ^) And I'll be ready on the 18th!!
Thank you.I've started collecting dolls several years ago, so I totally know what you mean. Playline dolls from other Companies start to get very boring while Disney Store is releasing really pretty dolls with goo quality. I used to collect expensive Barbie Collector dolls, but I feel like these dolls are more worth their prices than Barbie Collector.^^
Did Disney announce Eric back then? I just remember that they showed Urusla at the 23Expo... not sure if they teased Eric before he came out. As I said, I doubt that there will be a Hans doll, but Kristoff is possible. I assume he will be limited to 1500 again, means Europe will get a very very small amount.
