All of the four dolls are so beautiful!
I did get Anna today from the Swedish disneystore website, it went fine with my purchase and i'm so happy i got her! :')

For sure initially I didnt want coronation anna and sq elsa because it was before the movie had come out and I wasnt sure if id like them but my bf had surprised me with them. If it weren't for that I wouldn't have them. but im glad i do now and especially with the sets they look marvelous.


on another note, my ds was packed! just for the movie release! my goodness frozen is so popular!
 
So sorry for everyone in the UK who didn't get their dolls. I do think the "apology" from the store is kind of cold and not really an apology at all. It's one thing if the dolls were online and sold out because they were LE, fair enough. But their site went down so no one in the UK was able to get the dolls (except the very few who somehow got special links it seems). The sad thing is that there are pages of these dolls for sale on eBay at such inflated prices and it doesn't seem fair to collectors.

I feel so lucky I was able to preorder my dolls. People have gone certifiably insane over Frozen stuff. I was waiting outside my store this morning to pick up my dolls and there was a MOB of people like I've never seen. The majority were just waiting for regular Frozen merchandise. I nearly got knocked down and trampled when they opened the store. When I passed the Frozen merchandise area a few minutes later after picking up my dolls, nothing was left.
 
My faves are the coronation dolls. I do have Anna already and I THINK I managed to order Elsa (you can never be too sure about these things until you have the shipping notification and the doll in your hands, can you?) so I'm good... But yes if you have the money and the space for all four of them that would be the perfect set-up. SQ Elsa's dress is lovely in its detail (the crystals, the cape) and Winter Anna is just adorable and yes, her winter wonderland background is perfect for the doll. Pleeeeeeease DS.uk, let my order go through <3

And this public attitude and mania for everything Frozen is what makes me believe that the movie WILL become a classic... I don't get how blind the naysayers can be, insisting that the movie will be forgotten in a year and all that stuff. I mean seriously, do you really think people are going to forget about these characters when they have their houses filled with the merch? :)) (don't mind me, I sometimes go into masochism mode and decide to visit the iMDb boards... the amount of weird people on that site is too damn high)

The prices on eBay are crazy, I was sad this morning but I am not going to give my money to greedy people who paid £60 this morning, people need to stop bidding up to crazy amounts! Frozen is amazing but people are going slightly mad over it! It's actually scary how crazy people can get lol.
 
^ Actually the madness doesn't shock me as much because I'm used to the anime-manga community and the prices some would pay for a sold-out figure. Plus the order-war this morning was very similar to what has happened in the past on anime figure sites...

In any case, I don't know which forum it was that had the link up early, but I want in! :)). The people on the French forum I'd been hanging around barely had a chance to get any orders in. Someone posted a link at 7.55 and less than ten minutes later all the dolls were sold out :(

At least with anime figurines there's usually a few places to get them from and for varying degrees of price, too. Never ran into crashed sites though. Sold out, yes, but then I find it somewhere else anyway.

The movie hype is naturally going to drive prices up. I want to wait before I splash on eBay, but I made that mistake with SQ Elsa and that's basically out of reach for me now!
 
I'm so sad right now that I didn't manage to get Anna (never had a chance my store up the link at 9.10, but they were sold out before that)...I'm not a normal Disney LE doll collector, I just wanted Anna because I loved the movie so much. So there's no help for me if they promise that for the next LE dolls it's better organized :( I only wanted Anna :(
Does anyone have a spare?
 
i know how you feel ilia ): the german website was a huge mess. the button showed up but it said undefined article and you couldn't find the dolls until well after 9am and then they were already sold out ... there was another forum where someone posted a link to the dolls. they were actually already available at 8am (so 7am in uk) and that's why they sold out before 9am when you knew the link .... i also just wanted anna ... my boy friend and me took a day off and we refreshed the page starting at 8h30 every minute but anna was gone when you could finally regularily find her )':
i admit, i cried =/

Yes, I heard that as well :( This just isn't okay anymore. They only have two possibilities to fix this a) cancel all orders made before 9 am or b) produce more dolls (as many as there were sold before 9 am) and give all of us a chance to buy one.

I think someone on facebook posted a link to german forum, where someone posted the link, but this girl was also only a fellow collector who somehow got the link from somewhere else as well??? (confusion!) So the 'magical' forum is still unknown...?
 
Yeah, I also tried to post the UK links as soon as I saw them, a little under 8 o'clock UK time... But it just said that a forum moderator needed to approve of the comment before it got posted. I assumed it was because I'm a new member and sometimes forums won't let you link-spam without having a certain number of posts.

EDIT: So basically, if you see a post from me two days from now with nothing but the link to the UK dolls... that's why that happened :))
 
Yes, thank you for trying guys! I'm sure everyone did what they could this morning, but the DS site behaved how it did :(
