Can someone tell me when Ariel's diamond edition DVD came out for preorder was it today for the first time , or a while ago? Because I really can't remember if I preordered the DVD although I'm pretty sure I did. Unfortunately I never signed into my account so I can't review my order details.
 
I pre-ordered my Ariel Dvd a long time ago (well over a month). You should be able to search in our e-mails for an order confirmation from Disney. That will have the date!

I think it came out today because before it was just the regular collectors edition one. Blue case. And you should still be able to log and or put your order number in to see the the details with or without bejg logged in.

And as far as the holding your money in your account lol well I certainly don't have that in my bank account and my order went through just fine. Got my confirmation email too.

As far as I know, every store does this, but they will literally ask random children walking by to do the ceremony before they'll let an adult do it. Out of all the times I've camped out before an opening, I got to open the store once--and only because the pregnant lady they asked walking by was in a "hurry"--and then today my best friend got to open it. I videoed it for her, lol. It's quite an honor to do it, because that's the only way you can get a miniature Disney Store key. You can't buy it and they won't just give it to you, either.

I have asked the Disneystore about this and they confirmed that they put a hold on the funds in your account. I think it depends on your bank if they allow the transaction to go through or not. Also I checked my credit card and my available to spend balance has reduced after I purchased the doll. So like I said it really depends on your bank and whether or not they will allow the hold to be put through, but I know for a fact that there is a hold placed on your card/account by Disney.

I watched kids do it ! It's cute. I've seen both versions of it. I still say the key looks like a key blade.
 

Could be $$$ off codes from past disneystore.com DVD pre-sells (buy DVD get $$$ off future order)
 
I dont go to Disney stores often as they aren't terribly close to me so i had no idea they did that. its really cute. and they offered me to do it because i had gotten there so early. they said i could do it but i told the little girl she coul do it instead. i do hope to do it someday to get the pen it was very cool

That's not a bad idea. It would fit in well with the other limited edition dolls with all the creative liberties and elaborate details they add to the dolls. It would be kinda boring if he was just in his sailor outfit even though we identify him in either that or his wedding outfit. Good idea
 
Oh it wasn't my idea, someone earlier said it wouldn't make sense but when you think about it, that is Eric's only other outfit aside from his wedding and that would only make sense if there was a wedding Ariel or to a very lesser extent wedding Vanessa,.
 
I was second to order Ariel at my Disney store. They only had 7 slots. Very excited to hear about an Eric and an Ursula. I really hope if its true they don't slim her down like with the designer dolls.
 
Preordered mine online thankfully! My local store only had 6 and 8 people were lined up at the door supposedly (I was in class, darn it). They sold her out within 5 min.! And sadly, the cast members have to remove the display doll as soon as she sells out - and yet, my lovely managers pulled her out for me to drool over and decide! Gah, October come quick!

There's one thing I'm curious about though: is there ever any benefit to buying dolls in person rather than online? It's the same preorder, right?

P.S. Anyone else having issues with accessing the pages? Mine has been saying something like data server down daily now and won't allow me onto the site!
 
Yes, online and in store are same preorder. the only benefit id say to in person is that you can pick out the doll you want from what they have. Im kinda ocd about my dolls hair so I try to get the one with the most together do'. Also being friends with the manager helps that's how I was able to get Lady Tremaine.

I have a feeling that it was a glitch, if you notice all the other series of TLM dolls have a similar sort of description I think that it was out there in error as the person had used a template to generate the description and forgot to remove it. Either way it will be interesting to see what happens, I will be happy either way!
 
Went and saw her in person today and she is gorgeous. They are always so much better in person.
I asked my CM about Eric and she said that Disney always likes to make surprises releases....and couldn't say anymore.

Hahahah I thoguth so too, I was soooooo tempted to just steal it and run away =P I had never seen them do that opening ceremony before cause I was at a different store today and my store did a different ceremony (Thought now that they are remodeling they will probably change it, and I hope they do because I want that mini key!!!) But anyway, when I saw them bring out the keyhole I was like, "Man, I should have brought my keyblade (I have a life size metal Kingdom Key), talk about a missed opportunity"
 
My God. You know what just dawned on me? In just a few months, it'll have been one year already since I go my last LE doll (Lady Tremaine). Holy freaking crap time has gone by so fast. I know it will feel like forever till it is October again and until I get my Ursula...but still! HOLY FREAKING CRAP! Time has gone by SO FAST! It is kind of cool though how we (or at least I) can look at these dolls and mark time with them. It's kind of funny really. I only collect the villains and yet, with each new villain I gain, I'm in such a better place in my life. And! The beautiful irony of Ursula being my next doll in my collection, I hope she is correctly made (fat) because I'm now in the best shape of my life! (Running, Insanity Program, healthy eating habits, and (soon) swimming...more irony huh?) I can't wait!
Also, I'm glad I have this community of doll addi-I mean-collectors to share this with and that actually get it. <3
