wow...i kinda forgot it was thursday! You line up for wrist bands now..i thought the point of the wristbands was to eliminate the line for pins??? there gos that. i love you crazy nuts!

I would have been there a while ago if they were passing out all 150 wristbands in the morning but once it got to 75, the thought of 24 hours in line was not tolerable. Please let us know in the morning how many people are in line for the next distribution. Thanks for the updates so far - saved me a trip to Hollywood.
 
Seriously, this is pretty ridiculous.

If there's at least 150 people in line when they hand out wristbands in the morning, DSF should just go ahead and hand out all 150 of them straight away!! Breaking up the wristband distribution is kinda silly, especially if they know the other 75 are already in line at the time the first distribution is complete.

And DSF is about to close at 9:30 PST... If by chance, there are 150 people in line right now, before closing time, why not hand out the wristbands tonight?? If 150 people are already committed to spend the night, DSF should just reward them for their dedication to Disney, Disney Pins, and DSF. Leave a note on the front door to anyone who shows up tonight saying "All 150 wristbands have been distributed, we apologize for any inconvenience."

If the line is this long tonight for wristbands, imagine the ZOO of insanity that will take place next weekend for the chocolate box release. Oh boy... lol

I am fairly certain that DSF once tried handing out wristbands to everyone in the line; well over 75. They got blasted for not sticking with the announced distribution plan. There is no pleasing everyone.

Hopefully, the weather holds and everyone waiting will not have to endure any rain. Been there. Done that.

I agree that the Chocolate Boxes are going to be crazier than this.

Starting to rain here in So Cal. Really hoping all of our friends out there in the wet and the cold stay healthy and dry for next week's epic release!! Warm thoughts coming your way right now (wish we were there too -- but just getting over horrible colds/flu in our house and don't want to take any chances of not being healthy for next week)!

Actually it doesn't really. When you consider the 12+ hour wait in line to get the wristband. Whats to prevent someone from cutting the line to get a wristband?

I hope you're all doing okay out there! It is wet and rainy, and I can't say I regret being warm and cozy in my sweats, LOL!

If we consider the average cutter isn't going to put in the time cut for a wristband and then go back the next day, it prevents line cutting. The whole point of cutting is so you don't have to wait. Some would send in a placeholder person to hold six invisible places in line and show up at the last possible moment Either you are there when they hand out wristbands or you don't have a place in line.

Can't really argue that the wristbanding has caused issues with multiple trips. That part sucks. I'd feel better if they went back to only the one day and had security wristband people starting at Midnight and then as they showed up.
 
90 minutes to go until morning wristbands. Light rain has been falling all night. A few canopies appeared last night which supplied shelter to several of us. Others found spots under stairwells, umbrellas and ponchos. At least it hasn't been too cold. We look like a homeless encampment.
