Sounds like you guys have had so much fun with this!

Do they let you choose which pin or is it random?

It's usually one of 5 pins, and you can pick (as long as they have them in stock). It's like a skee ball type game, so it's pretty easy to tank it (unless you're my husband). I think the rotate the pins out every 2 months or so...most years, you can expect Halloween, Christmas, Spring, Summer, and a few random themes, like Arabian in the off months.

Actually, I have a question...when the pins are hotel specific, do they sell them in the hotels, or in the Parks? And what kind of selection of pins do they have in the hotels (if any)? We've never been inside them long enough to look...

Hotel specific pins are only in the hotels not in the parks and they just have a few pins
 
I hope this trend of releasing nice box sets at JDS continues. We're going in February, so I want to see some when we get there :)
 
I have added most of the Japan pins to the PinPics database. Still have the JDS store sets, and, the Princesses shoes to go, (whew)!!
