Oz the Great and Powerful pin set

Looking at the pins. Are not they the same characters like DSF but no China Girl? The center pin would be the Marquee. May I think that will be the Surprise pin at DSF?? Hmmm, gotta be up early now. Or, Glinda? Rather have China Girl.

Thank you for posting for everyone.

I was really hoping for some character cut-out style pins. I don't really like pins that have images of the real actors printed on them like this! But they are still shiny and pretty!

its a beautifully designed pin set. its hard to capture live action i guess, but yes, i feel that they could do a lot with the china girl, or Finley, the ballon and the emerald city in classic enamel

Wow! LE 250 is pretty low. I like this set but since I haven't seen the movie, I'm on the fence about spending that much on pins that are so similiar to the DSF release. It's similiar to the Frankenweenie sets from DSF and Disneyshopping situation with similiar styles of pins. *sigh* I don't know how to make up my mind.

I kind of miss the Wizard and the Wicked Witch of the West. I don't really like the style, I would have liked them to be character cut-outs. And that the pin with the title also was a character, or that they at least gave it an Oz background instead of a complete black one...

There are probably limitations on what they can do because of merchandise licensing with the actors. The price was a lot less than I was expecting with the LE250 and six pins (I was expecting the set to be in the $150 range).

I really hoped there would be a surprise jumbo pin of Oz (like they did with the Villains & Snow White pins)

DSF has the Oz pin in their display case and they look really nice - but then, I do like the photo style pins

Not impressed with this set but agree that I was shocked at how low the price was. Considering the last few sets were $129.95 for 5 pins its a big price cut. The only one I like at all is the black OZ pin, I am a HUGE Wicked fan (as in saw it three times in two weeks) so I have a soft spot for all things OZ, just not the real life actor photos

As always you are super awesome Steve for keeping us up on whats new at the DS!

Thanks!

I'll definitely pass on these pins...they're really nice, but they just don't seem to be made to the same standards as the DSF pins.

If anyone is interested in doing a co-op I would be in for the Black Oz pin. Any D23 members willing to buy this for a co-op?
