And then there’s me with my single small pin bag I got in June specifically for this event because the thought of hauling my big bags made my back threaten mutiny.

The 24"x 15"x 18" IS the size of a larger rolling suitcase, rolling cooler or (as I have brought in the past) a rolling Toolbox into which I have stuffed 2 "Trading Bags", Binder and Boxed Sets, etc..
Disney has said for years "1 Trading Bag per person" to mean the aforementioned 24"x 15"x 18".
What they may enforce is the "1 per person" as people, in the past, HAVE dragged in 2 suitcases at a time to the back Trading area.
Also the Table Space restriction may limit a person to have only 4 Trading Bags on the Table at a time (instead of 1 person taking up 5 spaces or more worth).
We ALL know darn well that Disney will let you drag into World Showplace whatever will go thru Security, as in the past. All this "Panic" talk is unproductive.

Let's all grab our "Dancing Brooms", load all our pins onto the "Mine Train" and prepare for a "Pixie Dust" filled ride to the Animation Celebration!!!

I'm not trying to panic anyone, just musing over the new emphasis that seems to be placed into the rules.

Also, I did NOT know that people have been sneaking more than one piece of luggage in. I had assumed that the people that covered the whole table were actually working in groups, and they just had that many people. If that's true, then it might explain them trying to reign in the table hoarders.

The only reason I speculate on the potential end of the pin event is due to some small signs we've been getting for years, like ds.com shutting down weekly sales, the disbandment of the PTNs (which seems to be settling at something like quarterly), and other cut backs to the pin departments. It's not based on anything anyone has told me. I will say that they've been trying more in the last few years than, say, 5 years ago, so maybe they decided it was worth fighting for, financially.

Like I told Tiggersue, I didn't know people had been breaking that rule. That's probably because I always roll in around noon, so I never stand in line to see that people have multiples. By the time I was in the event area, the tables were already set up, so the luggage was under the tables, and you never know what goes with who (like, number of people in a group).

I just assumed everyone played fair. Silly me.

It looks like I'm misunderstanding what is defined as "bag." If a single bag is a rolling suitcase (within those measurement confines), then that can likely fit more like 4-6 binders.

When I read "bag", I thought my little pinfolio as one bag, and thus would be UTTERLY shocked if they told me I couldn't bring in my second pinfolio because it's a second "bag." To do so would cause an uproar (and I'd be front of the mob!). The more I read and hear from others' experience, the more something like my pinfolio seems to count as a single "binder" rather than bag. And the bag is really more of the container for all the binders? That would make these requirements a bit more palpable, perhaps.

I'm a thinkin' that, for the purposes of the Pin Events, Disney should say something like "a 24"x 15"x 18" rolling container into which you can stuff as many pins as you can"!! However, they are just copy-pasting the rules from the Disney Parks Security site.

And, Abyssinian28, I was unaware that you haven't seen the "chaos" of "thousands of rolling wheels and running feet" to get to the Trading Area in the back. It is quite a show, LOL!! Yes, a lot of people ARE groups that share space but, others just try to "bring everything" to make the trouble worth it.

As for me, it's just my 2 Trading Bags and a backpack/purse on a little wheely thingy (so I don't have to sling them on my shoulders). It, or my rolling Tigger toolbox, have worked just fine since 2003.

See you all there!!

Yeah, when that rule first came into existence a few years ago, they tested it out at a PTN, and it definitely caused an uproar, because we all thought that (I mean, good lord, the wording...in what world is a piece of rolling luggage a "pin bag"). But they clarified that as long as it was below park rules sizes, then it was fine, and yes, it could have multiples inside of it. I think they mostly wanted to cut down on things like wagons and such, and maybe to rein in the super traders.

I can fit 6 inside my hardcase, but I hate having to lay it down and unzip it (it clogs the walkways). So I bought a new scrapbooking cart for this year...holds a little less than that.

This is what I want to be. I have the green canvas bag that the parks sold, I guess a decade ago now. It has pin pages (but the newer kind which I don't like). It also has a center area, like a messenger style bag, that holds my binder, and a cork board of my lesser pins, and I have the CM pin bag which is between the size of the regular small and large bags. Those all fit in my backpack and it's still extremely heavy. I managed that the first day, second day I was down to my binder and a lanyard because it was heavy. I plan on taking all of that to registration day, and then we'll see how it goes for event days. I have a goal to someday be down to just a binder and the CM bag, but I need to make lots of trades to do that, which I can only do by lugging things around.

The registration at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is nearing, faithful pin traders. As I mentioned before about a mystery offering on the pin cart that day another hint is forthcoming. The previous hint was that the offering had something to do with a Disney Pixar film. Well, this last hint may shrink that pool of available films down a tick or two. This last hint is that the offering has not only something to do with a Disney Pixar movie but one that was awarded the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. That, I think, narrows it down to nine films. (Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Brave, Inside Out, and Coco). With that being said that, my friends, is the last of the hints, and you must be registered for the Pin Event in order to enter the area where the cart will be located, unfortunately.

Sharing what six of the mystery chasers look like. Need the remaining two. I have extras of the skeletons and ugly duckling to trade!

Would you consider selling the Skeleton Dance pin? My pinpics fairly updated Famous_Monsters. Have other traders not listed in pinpics.
