In the spirit of giving and to celebrate the New Year, Greg and I have decided to give away 13 pins!!! Why 13, you ask? Several reasons....in honor of the upcoming 13 event happening in September at WDW, celebrating the New Year of 2013 and because it happens to be Greg's favorite number.

The criteria for the giveaway is as follows:

1. Any active DPF member can be nominated, but, it HAS to be someone located in a different state or country than the individual doing the nomination, as a way of celebrating the "Small World" that we live in and bringing everyone together.

2. Choose any pin from our traders and tell us why the nominee is deserving of that pin. Send all address info so it can be a surprise without us having to ask for info.

3. Please e-mail us (gbdb56@yahoo.com) with the information by 12 noon (EST) on January 5th.

Greg and I will spend the weekend deciding winners and packages will be mailed on January 7th (thus the title of the thread...:D). The chosen nominees will receive, in the LBE, the name of the person(s) who nominated them. Should there be multiple nominations of the same individuals, Greg and I reserve the right to make a choice of what pin we send.

Final selections will be solely based on the nomination and not from our personal experience with those individuals. So, give us some good reasons.

What an excellent and kind thing to do! I looked through your traders, but since i am not familiar with what many people collect, i did NOT send you a nominee. My husbands fav number is 13 too!

We have 10 nominations so far. There have to be more people who can be nominated because they are wonderful people doing nice things or just because you know of someone who needs a pick me up. Email us!!!

How kind and thoughtful of you folks to offer this game! It is great to be able to recognize folks in this pin community who help educate, train. and guide other folks through the many paths of this most interesting hobby. I have been blessed to meet several, such folks, but they live in the same state as I do. Email will be coming your way!

Thanks so much for your kind words. It is true that there are amazing people in the pin community. We have always felt that our enjoyment comes through the relationships we have made and not just the pins we collect. It has been great to hear the kind words people have been saying about those they are nominating. We are blessed to be a part of this wonderful group of people and it is just our way of giving back some of the joy the we have recieved.
