Ok, so over the past few months I've been cataloging my collection. I went through what I thought was all my pins, only to find that I did not have some pins I thought I did. Today I went up to my parents place to see my mom for her birthday and went to get something from my old closet and saw an old box in the corner. I opened it up and guess what was inside?

PINS!!!!

And not just the pins I thought I had before, but a bad of stuff I had "put away for later". Man did I really put those away. In there were a lot of ld nightmare pins, 2 jessica LE 100's, tons of missing eeyores I couldn't find. I found extras of the old VMK pins from Imagineering. It was like a secret treasure trove that I left for myself.

Don't know if anyone else has done this, but those have to have been sitting there for at least 4 years now. But very glad to scratch some off the want list that I already had.

Anyone else have something similar happen?

Oh my, yes! I packed everything up when I was going through the divorce - opened them a few years later and it was like Christmas! I'd forgotten so many and traded to get them again. ;)

Wow, what a great find! That must have been so exciting. I recently found a small box with 3-4 pins in it and I was so excited, but WoW @ this! Jealous of your VMK pins :)

It was an awesome surprise, now I have some new great pins for trade and a slew marked off the wants. Now what to do with these jumbos, only keeping the rainbow mickey spinner.

At least once a year I find one of these "boxes" and I'll call someone and say 'Guess what I found today?' and they'll say, 'A box of pins you didn't remember you had?' :P It usually happens when I come home from an event and I put them away for later and then later never happens... lol.

On another note, one day a friend and I did put jumbos on lanyards and made a few kids happy but the CM's were not. LOL

Let me know when, I'll follow right behind.
I have only done one so far :) You can't trade with the cast members but they will take it from you and put it on the lanyard. Super fun to stand back and watch. The kids with huge eyes who trade as fast as they can and can't believe it, and the pin traders trying to borrow a kid before the actual kid can trade for it, then the super excited kid walking off with his spoils and the irritated pin trader hehe....

I am really liking you guys more and more......do you twirl your moustashe while you watch??? I LOVE IT, and that kids will remember it til they have kids!!!

Great...love it when things like this happen.....a nice little surprise for you!!!! I tend to 'squirrell' things away as well and forget about them, its always nice when you find something you forgot you had. xx

I found stuff in a house I don't even live in anymore. Can only imagine what happens when I move the last boxes out later this month.

I did how ever find my 8ft tall cut out of Stanley from Playhouse Disney while back at home. Won him in the silent auction at the 50th event!
He'll be coming to his new home soon.

That's one thing that has ever kept me from putting a *good* pin (and also one I think a little kid would like) on a kid's only lanyard. I've given pins to little kids, but not anything I consider (as would another--greedy--adult) valuable.

The pins you found are great! If you're trading that soda bottle puzzle pin I am definitely interested (PM me)!
