In other news, I've started doing this now, too! ^_^ I have to wear a lanyard for college, and one of my pins accompanies me everyday... before my school break it was Pascal :3 For the new term, I think imma break out those Princesses :) Yay! Fun thread, I love it! <3

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of going bowling with my mom and nephew, a lovely family past-time. So, of course, I was sporting one of my villain bowling pins! I mean, honestly, how often do you get that chance? XD Lining up the strikes was the Maleficent Bowling Pin (65469)

Needless to say, thanks to her wicked leadership, I managed to win both games! A rarity indeed cause my mom rocks at bowling! Hahah!

After such a lovely outing yesterday, I figured a little whimsy and wizardry was required! So today, I sported my relatively new DSF Merlin with Archimedes pin (65386)!

In fact, I had a book rep comment on how dashing my pin looked today! She said I made quite the outfit, with my blue (ish) shirt and white tie! Like Merlin's beard and cloak! Hahah! I hadn't even realized that connection! I suppose I just have naturally good taste. ;P

Happy Monday, DPF! :D

I feel like it's been a while! Hahah! Probably because it has. ^^; Anywho! It's that time once again for Daily Pin Bling! :D

Now, this one takes a little explanation. Each day, at the beginning of class, I have my students do what's called a Free Write in their journal. Each day, they're given a prompt and for five solid minutes, they write in response to the prompt. But today! It was a little different! Today, the prompt was titled "Pretty Pretty Picture." And, as you might be able to guess, they had to draw me a masterpiece the likes of which this world has never seen! And so, with that in mind, I wore a little something to give my students some artistic inspiration! Presenting today's pin, Mickey painting the Minnie Lisa (41252)

This was one of my first zaps ever here at DPF, so it has a special place in my heart, board, and vest. ;P

Hey gang! Sorry this week has been sparse. It's been a rough week. >.< In fact, I got kind of sucker punched with some news on Wednesday that laid me pretty low...

So today! I figured I could use a little Force to push me through to the weekend. So today I sported the nifty Mickey Mouse Icon Rebel Alliance pin (59747)!

Goodness gracious! There has been a SEVERE lack of activity on this thread! The sacrilege!

Anywho! It's time to ring in a new week, and a new month, and a new book! :D Today, my students turned in their Beowulf / Grendel papers, so we get to start the next text today! The Hobbit! :D And since that story is ALL about an unsuspecting hero, I figured who better than Arthur to ring in the new text! (51755)

I love the idea...and it might interject some levity into my job as a mortgage underwriter for a major bank. I do have my stuffed Canadian Pluto displayed prominently at my desk. By the way, you are a lot younger than I assumed you were, Merlin.

This is awesome, I might start wearing pins to work! My boss won't mind.. I turn up wearing stuff like this....

Greetings DPF! :D

It's Monday! And do you know what?! I'm ecstatic! No! Not because it's Monday! BECAUSE I FINISHED MY GRADING!!!!! I have been grading mediocre papers practically non-stop since Thursday (ask MaryScribbles) and I have been in a ~sour~ mood because of it. BUT TODAY! I finished them!

And handed them back. XD Hence my pin today. More than likely, and hefty number of my students will think I'm quite the monster today. So, wore a pin accordingly. Today I sported the fearsome Maleficent and Dragon in the Castle (48203)

This is an awesome idea...so much so that I have borrowed it =) I added a few pins to my work lanyard and asked my manager if that was ok and she loved it (as did my coworkers) I have also had customers comment on how nice my pins are.

Not going to lie but sometimes it does help to cheer me up when it's been a bad day at work.
