Tried to do a few here and I get "Web site cannot be found" ??

It's because the new pinpics site has launched. Add 'gallery' and a dot before the URL that comes up when you click on the links, and you'll get the old site. Don't know how much longer the old site will be active.
 
the old links are no longer functional here on DPF, When PP changed formats, they stopped working, Before they switched to the new format notification was sent to all sorts of boards that use the database as a reference center for Disney pins, each site was told of the upcoming changes months in advance of this change....

The links will only get you to the old site, which is no longer available to outside entry<ie you cant log on to it thru the old site portal anymore ,its locked essentially> however it is still viewable, you just cant add or subtract anything on it, think a read only file...
So new pins added to the database will appear on the old site under whats new, after approval,however you will not be able to access the members trading info or the TA while in the old site, those features are defunct in that setting...cuz you are not logged on.. read only..

Now more of those pesky aforementioned bambi gang members have whispered about the link features on PINTALK, and how the compares on PP will be changing,,, in addition to the Forum that will be on PP soon, so perhaps those will have links to peoples ids, the future is full of wonder, imagine what tommorow could bring....
 
You actually can still add and make changes to trades/wants/collection via the old site if you stayed logged in. I'm assuming the old site will log me out at some point, but I haven't cleared cookies since the last time I logged in there, and so every time I go to the old site, I'm still logged in. Changes made on the old site do appear on the new site.

Also you can still use the "My Pinpics" page on the old site to enter two names and find matches. (I like this because I like being able to check someone else's wants to my owns, in case there's something that's mostly a keeper for me but that I'd give up for a grail. They took that particular functionality away in the new site.)

And again, if you click on the links here at DPF, then go to the URL in the page that appears and append "gallery." at the beginning of that URL, you will see the matches.
 
Hi, can someone cut-and-paste what the coding line in the URL should look like if you add "gallery". I am not following, sorry!!

How do you look at peoples wants as it's not working on my ipad

Hi hope some one can help me out I can't look at peoples wants or trades on my ipad it comes up as error is there a way around this hope some one can help me out many thanx Damien :wavey:
 
You will have to go to pinpics and manually search the member to see wants/trades and compare pins now as pinpics is no longer linked with dpf

as Darryl mentioned, site owners were made aware of the changes before the new pinpics site launched. We were asked NOT to re-link any links to pinpics at the time.

Currently, we're trying to work with pinpics to see if we can come up with an agreeable solution that will allow us to have the links work again.
 
fingers crossed in the future we are able to link the sites up again, as its a real nuisance going back and forth, i liked the fact you could just click, and see potential matches/trades.....hopefully this option will return soon :)
