Rapunzel gone again from UK site.

I just realised i didnt didn't receive my free gift bag with my Jasmine & Aladdin - anyone else not had theirs with an online order?
 
I guess I might be the odd-ball here. I do like Ariel but I was never obsessed with her when I was little (I mostly liked Sebastian, that crab can sing!). I became a little more obsessed when I saw tangled. However, when Brave came out it changed everything. I am completely obsessed with Brave and I collect more things from that movie. Merida was the first toddler and classic doll I bought. I also bought all of the LE dolls, I would have bought the pins but I paused....then when I went to buy them they sold out! I even have my office dedicated to the movie Brave (which I hope to finish by December). However, Merida I relate to more and I even relate to Queen Elinor at times. Plus I really did like how the movie focused on their relationship rather than Merida falling in love with a prince.

So my favs are Merida, Rapunzel and Ariel (in that order). I am really hoping they were make more LE dolls of Merida and Queen Elinor. I hope they do a couple set of Merida and Elinor for the DFDC set for next year!

Of course now that I have my favorite princess out of the way, my favorite villain of all time is Maleficent! There is just something about her....she is just evil and there is no real reason behind it which is what I like. Of course with the new movie coming out I have a feeling it will explain why she became evil which I don't particularly care for. But oh well!
 
I love Queen Elinor! I would love a designer fairytale couples set with them together in it. Sure it is not a romance, but it is still love. The love of a mother and daughter. Weirdly though, Merida is my least favorite princess. I think it is because she is so unlike me (aside from adventuring which I love).

My designer bags for both snow and Ariel came in a separate box by themselves. If it doesn't show up soon, you should call Disney. They are definitely not sold out of those!

There are some things Im really starting to like about the set. Like Beast's jacket. I want that for myself. Ha. And I do love Belle's hair and face up
 
RapunzelSalat: Haha! I think I love Merida the most because she does mounted archery which I love to do myself! Plus I liked how she grew in the movie. I just also like how Merida's family is with each other, especially towards the end. I always wished my family was more like that.....but now that I'm getting married I can have those type of relationships with my own little family! :)
 
Well, growing up I was not a Disney toy kid, nor a princess follower. I was all barbies coolest accessories ever from a pool to a limo and house furniture etc endless list lol. But the 4 I did watch their movies and like them were Beauty & the Beast, Mulan, Aladdin & Pocahontas. Among others Atlantis, Tarzan, TLM & Hercules. So basically no Snow White, Cinderella, & Sleeping beauty. Oh wow okay back to the present. It wasn't until last year when I saw the previews and ads for " Brave " ( because of my son being following Disney ) and OHHH My Goodness! I fell in love with her and Queen Elinor, movie concept, etc. And it just happen a friend told me about DS.com. OMG when I went there and SAW all brave dolls when bananas and just like that was hooked lol. Also at the same time I was being active on eBay and well one thing let to another and since then I discovered " A whole new world " and have started a doll collection lol from all my favorite princesses/movies.

Beauty & the Beast: Sooo romantic and having a transforming prince. Belle saving him. Importance of inner beauty.
Mulan: courage and independence.
Aladdin: differences in social classes.
Pocahontas: differences in culture/race. (btw major disappointment waiting many yrs to finally watch Poca II, just to find out no John Smith, can't get over it yet LOL)
Tiana: perseverance & determination. (1st black princess, I remember asking for my 1st black barbie so I could have a doll that looked like my Dad :D)
Rapunzel: finding yourself, freedom, innocence, creativity.
My #1 Princess is Merida w/Queen Elinor. Loveee how different she is from the others. And mainly family based and I could go on....

This is how I relate to each and reasons why I feel happy/inspired collecting them :D. And I have decided I will be trying to get the Beauty and the Beast Set, can't wait.

My Jas/Al should get here Tuesday :anxious:

Yeah it looks like the set is up for sale again. I wonder how long it will last before being sold out again. To be honest I don't see it last more than a day, by this time tomorrow I would think it would have sold out. I wonder though if these sales are a result of returned stock or if yesterday was a glitch and they had not sold out.

Either way so far it is not looking too crazy and difficult to get these dolls, hopefully it will remain that way until the end. Good luck to anyone sill trying to get a Jasmine, hope you can get the set for retail before she sells out!
 
When I try to put her into my cart it says "cannot be purchased at this time." I was suspicious when the set didn't disappear from the website at 12:00 the first time it sold out. Can others still buy her?
 
I was able to put her in my cart this morning but I didn't attempt to buy her. I just wanted to see if she was really sold out. I think a few must have been available.
 
Looks like she is sold out again, she still appears on site but when you try to add her to the cart it states that you cannot buy that item at this moment in time.

I believe that when the site refreshes tonight they will just remove her then instead of updating the button to say sold out.

I don't think they make the stores send any unsold stock to the warehouse in Memphis. I believe they are just kept in store until they sell. I think it may have just been in error when they initially said that she had sold out when she was not as there may have been a low amount in stock left that the system did not recognize hence stated it was no longer available. But I think we should be seeing her disappear from the site tonight.
 
I don't think it was a glitch, I think she did sell out since Friday even though she is still lingering on the site. Before the "sold out" button appeared, when one tried to put her in the cart, it would not let you. My cousin tried to buy one this morning, it let her put it in her cart, but it did not let her buy it. For whatever reason she was never removed from the site. Did anyone have any luck buying her in the past 2 days? If you were able to get her since Friday, congrats! It will only get crazier from here. I can't wait for the madness to be over.
 
So was your cousin able to place the doll in the bag but it did not let them check out the item? The sold out button seems to have appeared just within the last few hours as I checked it earlier and it still had the option to add it to the bag (but if you tried to it would say it was not available).

So do you think that she sold out completely on Friday afternoon? Just because she did come up for sale again and people were able to put her in their bags but as to whether or not they would be able to check the item out and receive an email is another question. I wouldn't pass by Disney for their website to glitch especially with the high demand on the website I would imagine that errors would occur where they system cannot keep a track of the stock amounts correctly.

Regardless i think you are right in that the site would have officially sold out on Friday afternoon, I am guessing the reason why she was still up was from a glitch or because they had some stock left resulting in the system keeping her on the site and then that eventually sold out.

I am still going to base my LE sell out calculation on the fact that Jasmine sold out in 2.5days which means that hopefully we would have at the very most a 15 hour window to purchase the LE Eric and Ursula on their release day before they sell out.

Gosh i I wonder how fast Belle and Ariel will go, I just hope the website can handle the traffic on the night as it would be frustrating for it to crash continuously like it did back in 2011 during dollmageddon.
 
Yea, my cousin tried to purchase on her Sat. but it was telling her that the item could not be placed in the cart at this time. She went on this morning and was curious because the doll was still on the website, she tried adding the doll to the cart and she was able to, but was not able to purchase it, it kept disappearing. I just really hope that I can get The Little Mermaid LE dolls, I am literally biting my nails counting the days. With such low numbers I am extremely nervous. I want both dolls, but if I can at least get Eric, I will be happy. I don't think Belle and Ariel will last long. I am certain Ariel will sell out in less than a day. I know my husband can't wait for October 1st to get here, I am driving him crazy with all this doll talk, lol.
 
I know what you mean, I am very nervous and anxious too, just like you I want to try and get both dolls on the day of release. At least I don't have to worry about the Belle designer set, I am really hoping that a thousand units will last at least an hour online before selling out. It really is nerve wracking especially with the Disney store horror stories of confirm emails bring cancelled etc.

it just makes me so nervous about my preorder set of DFTC dolls, I worry that something might happen to the order, mind you I have already paid for it which makes it more likely that Disney will ensure orders go through properly but still can't help but worry due to the amount of stock that will be moved and how easy it is to miss one order or overlook these things.
 
I am concerned with the pre-orders of the DFTC as well. My sister pre-ordered the set and is giving me Rapunzel and Ariel, which is why I am so at ease about not getting that particular Ariel doll, however I have been reading through the threads and I have read that Disney will not exchange dolls with broken cases, unless the actual doll has issues and I am not saying that I don't believe anyone who has gone through this experience, but I find this unacceptable. If a case is damaged a person should be able to exchange it for another one. I find it so sad that they have not done so in the past. Now my sister and I are nervous and anxious, crossing our fingers that these cases arrive ok. Rapunzel and Ariel were the only ones I wanted from the set, although I was in love with Jasmine and Al, but after seeing Belle and Beast in person, I am really considering adding them to my collection. They look stunning and the features on Beast are wonderful! October 1st will be a long day....
 
I'd be furious if that happened to me! How the heck do they expect people to keep a limited edition collectors item if the case is damaged?! And it's not as if they go OTT on packaging for the dolls they send out you'd think for £100 set they'd want to ensure it doesn't get damaged in transit.

I have ordered more than 10 LE dolls from Disney online and they always come double boxed. The outer box is really thick. I have never had any problems at all with the dolls. My LE Ursula Vase however, came shattered because some idiot put a ceramic vase in a really large box with very little padding. I raised a stink with Disney and they refunded my money without me needing to ship anything back to them. It sucks, but with a suitable amount of grumbling, they would take the designer doll back (at least online). The problem is getting another one, since these will be sold out before orders arrive at people's homes. Oh and I don't think $130 matters that much to Disney. For these LE dolls, they are bringing in $780,000 per doll set for a total of 3,900,000 for the whole series. That's a serious chunk of change.
 
I would be furious too because I would not even want my money back, I would want another doll and as they are all sold out or eventually will sell out, their is no way of getting another one. The smart thing to do is to have a small reserve for cases like this and one exchange them. This is why I am a bit concerned. Either way, the wait is almost over. Can't wait to have my dolls.
 
Just went to my local DS (they don't carry the LE dolls) but I was there anyways so popped in. They had all of the mugs except for Ariel/Eric, and they had TONS of them. She said they were not supposed to get any of the DFDC merch but they somehow got in all the mugs. They never got the Ariel ones though. I wasn't planning on getting them but since I was there and they were only $9 each if you bought two or more I picked up Belle/Beast and Rapunzel/Flynn since Im only collecting/buying those dolls. Now just need to get my hands on the Ariel one. I also found some cute Sleeping Beauty stuff that was marked way down, so I got mug for her since those are the four I collect (Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel).
