I FORGOT TO POST MINE. SHAME ME

One of my favorite pins, ever. <3
Thank you so so so much Docfishes!

How cute! I love when Stitch invades other movies!

Yippee I get to post! I joined Pinpics over the summer and I sent a blind trade request to Docfish which he accepted. It was about my 10th trade online and I had been schooled by the 9 trades before it to request pics of the front and backs of the pins be traded. David was polite and

sent me pics but must have thought what a newb! Heck, that's what I think looking back on it. So I feel grateful to be included since I still am a new (1 year) collector. I love this forum and the pinship it brings with it.

Now, on to my pin. I fell in love with Alice during the 65th anniversary release when I did the teacup reveal/conceal so I decided to try to do the AIW character connection puzzle from March. Yes, very late to the tea party on that one which is why the puzzle pieces are grails for me. Thanks David, Amy, and Chubs191!!!!

And now I love this thread even more because I get to add to it! :D

Okay, so I'm going to let y'all in on a little secret: my wants list is a good indicator of the state of my mental health. When depression is screwing around with me, I start to delete pins off my wants, thinking I will never get them, I don't deserve them, I'm wasting my money, I should sell my whole collection, etc. etc. (I know some of you who are fighting like I am know exactly what I mean.)

It's unpleasant.

This past week has been a doozy in my brain, and I was ready to write off the floral fan series even though anyone who's been around since they were previewed knows that I fell hard for this series. And then today this happened:

I'm not going to say there were hysterical tears (Narrator: There were), but receiving this pin just means the world to me right now. Tiana is so gorgeous in that dress, and I love, love, love the message of that movie: sometimes there are bumps (or warts) in the road, sometimes your path to your dream doesn't look like you thought it would, but if you focus on what's important, you'll find everything you need.

Thank you, thank you, David and Amy, for reminding me that love and kindness are what's important in this world.
I was so hoping you would join in the fun. As soon as I saw your fans signature, it wasn't a matter of if you were going to be included, it was a matter of which pin I could get my hands on. You are fantastic and we are lucky to have you here at DPF!!!

And isn't this really the main theme of Zap-a-palooza? -

David and Amy are amazing for sharing their joy with others every year. Thanks so, so much, you two!!
It is not a matter of sharing our joy with all of you, it is us giving back to this community who has brought us such joy!!!

You became a member of our family when you joined this site. It is a wonderful and amazing group of people!!! Remember everybody was new at one time. Always remember, pin trading is supposed to be fun!!!

I count 8 more people who need to receive and or post here. Most of them are overseas. We hope everybody gets their packages by Christmas.

You're most welcome, but that pin was meant for you, my dear. Someone I was trading with was very exited over one of my pins, because she worked there. I said trade me anything for it, and that's what I got. Sometimes, the pin world works out that way. I'm so happy you're one step closer to completing that puzzle!

Your post touched me because there are sometimes where pin quests do seem way too daunting, and then you get that moment where you remember exactly why we fall in love with collecting and enjoy sharing this hobby <3 Super congratulations on being another step closer to your quest, and I'm sure you will succeed! You got this!!

Dang it my picture didn't work:

And congratulations to everyone else as well! Thank you for making this thread so wonderful!!

Just picked this up from the post office today! I was so happy to find this little one inside the package: a beautiful vintage Piglet pin. This one was on my wish list since day 1, I love Piglet in his green jacket. Piglet is my favourite Disney character because he is often scared but pushes through anyway. "I tell myself I am not afraid" is my favourite Piglet quote, and it really touches me. I am quite an anxious person, so I recognise myself a lot in his character. When it gets the better of me and I get generally afraid (of nothing in particular - the most bizarre feeling) I try and think about that quote. So thank you so much lwrn2 and David and Amy for this beautiful zap. I will treasure it!!

Congratulations everyone! The joy for me Christmas morning is watching my family open their presents and this just extends it so much farther. David and Amy have done a fantastic job with the DPF family again this year and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank them and everyone else who took part in this. I sit back in the corner of the room, smiling...
