All these sales games
i am glad your able to create magical memories for pin traders as everyone should therefore the whole thing about ur games having scrappers and fakes doesn't really apply to you bc yes you really have some sexy pins on your games.

i was getting upset because you said he should be the only one allowed to do games!

LOL I have so much resentment: that I do games to give people the chance to win something nice ha.

Scrapers stink regardless of being sent in a game, traded for at the parks, traded for via pinpics, bought or sold and so on and so forth.

I believe it's safe to say most pin traders agree with the above statement.

having said that, scrappers and whether or not they were sent somewhere maliciously or non maliciously was not the point of this thread.

whomever recieved a scrapper should contact the person they Recieved it from, contact mods, and/or leave negative feedback. That issue really had no place in this thread, because the problem of receiving a scrapper wasn't due to the game but was due to the supposed member who intentionally or unintentionally sent it.

Back on topic now, yes? :)

Well I was banned from this thread (By Rebecca), but Rebecca is asleep now and... Well I cannot help myself...

First off, I love you all and never ever meant to offend anyone with my prior comments, Echo you know we love you to death and ranting threads get my blood boiling sometimes... It was nothing personal to you in any way... Back on topic...

I never have a problem with anyone doing any of my ideas, especially when they are done properly then everyone is happy... I did appreciate that you guys let me have a whole month of my auctions before someone ventured into the waters... LOL... unlike this time where within a week or so there were 4 games running... lol... So be it... There are hundreds of members on this forum and plenty of people to play everyones games if they choose to... I would never feel like I am the only one who could ever do anything, what fun is that for me??? I wanna play games to...!!!

The Scrapper issue should be addressed with the person running the auction and if the are respectable and honest, they would refund the money and make it up to whoever got the raw deal immediately... An example of this in my game recently... A very hard to find Jumbo Sorcerer Mickey pin was lost in the mail... The DC confimed it was delivered, but the person (Who is very very honest) said it never arrived... I could have argued to the fact that the DC said it was, but instead I started to try to find a replacement pin... The wonderful bjean sent me a PM and we worked out a trade and I got an even nicer more prestine version of the same pin with original card and replaced the lost pin... Did I have to, no... but what kind of person would that make me...

These people who have perfect feedback have it because they are honest, trustworthy and fair and those should be the members running games that people play... If their feedback is poor, stay away...

yes, back to topic. This post may have been lost, so I quoted it to the new page. it discusses possible rules...?

Follow ebay's legal rules then (see rule 1)?

Get a new subforum.

(suggesting) RULES:
1. State clearly that you're buying a mail bubbler/box/[thing to mail] with free pins/goodies.
2. State clearly what each box would have (i.e. if all of them have LEs, some have LEs/WDI -whatever you decide the game prizes should be-, numbers don't really need to be given but all type of pins should be stated)
3. If a person pays, something must be given (i.e. each [thing to mail] has at least 1 Hidden Mickey/Rack/LE/PoDM)
4. 1 buy-in per user for the first 24 hours (to give people a chance to all play), then unlimited buy-ins. (MEGA SUGGESTION)
5. If the people randomize is involved with pre-fixed numbers then the prize numbers must be given to MODS (one for the new subforum?) prior to making game. (In order to make it fair and not give out big prizes to friends).
6. If there is an order of choosing, all prizes must be known so that everyone knows what they can win from being #1 to choose to #over9000 to choose their prize.

We don't know what else.

We're paying a game where we're kind of thinking we wont win a pin, but at least we get christmas stockings, so we get SOMETHING for our purchase. Either way games are fun and the chance (and hoping that you win the big item) is great.

P.S. Some people collect different things, so whatever type of pin (LE/HiddenMickey/Reveal&Conceal/Mystery) would have a different value to everyone...so if someone does a just hidden mickey game (and states so), then people can decide their own value for their buy-in and see if they're being overcharged, undercharged or paying just the right amount. For instance, most of you (and us too) would pay a good amount for a game with R/C *FAVORITE PRINCESS/Disney Girl* as the grand prize and that is considered (from our experiences) as a type of pin lesser than say a PoDM just because, in type only, PODM > mystery box pins.

but if i tell you all its a scrapper game... dose that make it better. how about i do half fake and half real. or i can mix it all up and put sum hard rock and hooters pins also. :P

I think all the rule suggestions the PinHunters posted are fair and spot on. We need to know what we are buying, everyone should get *something* for their money, and putting a 24hr buy in limit is something I would very much like to see. Moe does a great job of this, adjusting the limit for the first bit so as many people as possible can join in on the fun.

I also agree that the basic rules laid out by PinHunters are properly thought out and I am sure the MOD's will take it a step further with stipulations and guidelines, but they will do what is best for the site that is for sure... Have faith in the MOD's to get it right and if for some reason they do not at first... Please do not complain or vent at them... as things will be sorted out in time...

Sheesh, this thread took quite a turn! I'm glad everyone's sort of come to the same conclusion, though. There definitely needs to be a sub-forum with strict, straight-forward guidelines. I hope to see the SALES FORUM back to its original beauty again, soon. I want to be able to buy some new pins in the coming months and I won't be able to if there's just games games games! Haha.

There is a Sales Forum and a Games Room... Rules - a clear do's or dont's list for the game provider.
A Sub Forum would be great as it makes it easier, especially for us still getting to grips with trading & using the site, to find what we are all looking for. If you want to play a game then you know where to go.

Oh thank goodness that *SOMEONE* brought this up! I really wanted to address this issue but didn't want anyone to think that I was being an ogre.
I have been so frustrated lately with all the game posts in the sales forum. First of all, before anyone goes and thinks me a scrooge, I think the games are really creative and a fun way for many to participate in the opportunity/chance to own a rare pin. I support the games. I don't personally participate in the games though because for me, I'd rather just fork over the money to guarantee I get the pin that I want, rather than leaving it up to chance. That's just me though and I certainly do not begrudge others who play the games in any way what so ever. They just, for me, don't strike my fancy.

I think the games should stay and whole heartedly agree that they need their own sub forum. I love browsing sales threads (as I've pretty much given up on the majority of trading and have just resolved to buy my pins) but lately, in the last week and a half, I don't even bother because it's all become games, games, games. It's a bit overwhelming to someone like myself who is just seeking good old fashioned, plain pin sale threads

I also agree that rules need to be laid down and agree with the basic ones that others have mentioned in this topic. Admittedly, I can't really put *too* much of my input on this aspect of the topic as I don't play the games myself.

Bottom line: I miss the sales forum! Games are good! :hsd: Sub forum YAY! :bigthumb:

There does need to be strict enforcement about scrappers in the rules of the subforum itself. I think that if you are found to be sending out scrappers (more than one, because anyone can probably make a mistake), and you refuse to remedy the situation, you get banned from doing games for x amount of time. No one should be paying money to get something fake.

May I make the suggestion that also all these thread about "What should be my next ______" (Auction, game, sale, etc.) be put there or be squashed all together. It just seems like cluttery advertising to me.

+1... Even if I have done the "Should I auction this pin" post. I didn't want to put it in discussion, but there is not really a better place. And while yes, it may seem like an advertisement. For me, on the rare occasion I do post that sort of question, its more along the lines of "will anyone want to, would it be worth the time?" It is incredibly depressing to put a pin up for auction and have no bids placed. I have actually allowed an auction to fall to the 2nd page when I realize after posting it, that no-one is gonna bid. Bottom line, sometimes us regular auctioneers don't now if a nice pin is auction worthy, or if it should be saved for bidding.

The topic: I think the rules suggested above are great. The suggestion about limiting buy in for the first 24 hours is excellent.

This thread has been brought ot our attention, and i'll review it soon.

Our resident sales forum admin, Bricklayer, has been out so I was unaware of this issue.

Once I get a chance to review it and possibly discuss it with Jon, we will see if a subforum is a possibility.

Sorry MOD's for causing you guys more problems... I seem to do that a lot... I have been told by my wife to stop... Your jobs should get easier...LOL

Moe,you are keeping the mods and correspondents on their toes,so we can watch the forms even harder

I tried to explain to Rebecca that without my games, I have no chance at beating you to an iTrader rating of 2,000...Hahaha well I am on the iTrader board now and that totally made my day... Working my way to be like you the Queen of pin trading...

At this point in time it's easier to go to other forums for regular sales. This one is very full of games, which is great for those who want them, but not for sellers and buyers. Another vote for a separate game sales area, not just a sub- forum.

Holy moly Judy, over 1000 feedback and still 100%. I bow to your greatness, that is amazing! The forum would not be the same without you, and its so awesome to see that!!! Here's to another 1000.

Sorry for the tangent. I just thought that was beyond awesome.
