New PTD Rolly???
I think it boils down to PTDs being LE300. That alone creates an instant and often over inflated value for trade and resale. If they were LE1000, the value would not be so high and the demand would be much less than an LE300.

The LE size makes a huge difference for perceived value and resultant demand.

cute :3
awwwww so adorable! Love how the sundae matches his fur coat :)

Aww Rolly is super cute :)
I would love to see all three Aristocats kittens sharing a sundae... just a thought...

Wow have PTDs gotten really popular O_O For someone who collects them, do you mind if I ask what is the draw? I can understand if it's your favorite character or movie or in your collection, but I never understood why PTDs are so sought after? I'm not dissing them or anything, I just don't get it. Can anyone explain it to me lol xD Is it because I'm not by DSF?

I'm sure this won't apply to anyone else but me....

For the past 3 years, I've primarily collected Mickey alone... Minnie alone... and the Mickey Icons. After a while, you miss some of the variety and different colors, even! I found that I had acquired one of the PTD pins that was the Minnie one holding the ice cream cone. (now wishing I had 2...one for each board...) Anyway, I was looking at it and realized how adorable it was with the ice cream, etc, and thought how fun it would be to have a collection of those pins!

I started looking into it and after the 2nd pin, I was totally hooked! My excitement rose to where it was when I very first started collecting pins! I'm obsessed with them and like in Pokemon (or so my kids tell me) I "gotta catch 'em all"!!! I'm headed to Hobby Lobby to buy a pink framed cork board and then I'm going to cover the cork with mint green fabric to set off the ice cream. :) When all the ones I've purchased over the past couple of days arrive, they will have out-grown my 12x12 cork board, so I need a new one. These are prominently displayed in my bedroom... I just love looking at them! There are some I may never get like Rapunzel and Pascal, but maybe someday....

Basically, they flat-out make me happy. Who doesn't like ice cream????

So, that's my story...and I'm stickin' to it. (get it??? ice cream??? sticky??? stickin'???) Sorry for the bad pun. :(

Love the pun and I can't wait to see your new board. Sounds adorable.

I dont collect them, but I love the idea of them. I love the thought of all the characters stopping to have a treat. I wish I had known about them sooner, because I would have collected them, but to start now is just too hard!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I do get the idea that it is kind of nice seeing the characters enjoying ice cream, especially the same ice cream you yourself are eating so it must be fun to compare their enjoyment to yourself. I do think the LE size increases the prices, but I've seen some PTDs go for more than regular DSF LE300 pins (not talking about Kevin, Rapunzel, or Pascal who have obvious reasons why they go for more). I was just curious but I do see why, I'm not by DSF though so the nostalgia of seeing that ice cream on the pin and in real life doesn't phase me as much xP

I "try" to collect them because my first job as a teenager (15 years old) I scooped ice cream at Baskin Robbins. But, it is hard to obtain them when you live in Florida! :(

I just decided to stop trying to collect them. I think they're some of the cutest pins around but when 2 pins sell out in 24 hours, it's just impossible for me to try and keep up.

It's hard to obtain any popular pin when you're not directly by where it is released lol xD For those not by anywhere we can't even trade the park pins since we aren't by there haha xD Oh well, pin trading will be pin trading ^_^
