DSF Ironman Update
Those Hollywood streets are trouble. Look what happened to my girl lindsay Lohan.....hooking for pins is just not right. But these pins are hot, manly, and sexy I wouldn't mine hooking for them

This post is the best... Reaching Disney Noir Calliber...

Wait where is our beloved noir, I know I saw him lurking the alley this morning...

Does that mean that the evening group will have to miss the PTN ?

Not that it is a big deal, because there is also a trading event tomorrow morning.

You gotta luv Disney's planners

They originally were gonna do 30:1, so only 6 of the 6:30 line would have made it. Overheard Ed and the cops say that.

After they decided 20:5 the overnighters sent people from their line to cut into the 6:30 line so they'd take up spots for the 6:30 people. 1 got caught and sent back, 2 made it through, in front of me.

Thats not right I would have called it out, actions like this don't help anyone.. I think it was the I want the first 100 wristbands. There is no excuse for such behaviour

OK, I'm curious..... and I'll ask here, rather than start a new thread, but I suppose a new thread could be started "if need be." Every single solitary comment thus far has been about the pins. Makes sense, I get it. But what about the EVENT? I've been looking forward to tomorrow's event - as I'm certain many have - for weeks (maybe more). I was going to try for the 1pm wristband today but hope (not surprisingly) is fading. Because I wanted to come tomorrow and sit and maybe, hopefully, trade. If nothing else, at least I could buy my set of IM3 pins (for collection or trade). But if I can't buy the pins then I'm not sure I see the point in dragging myself up and out at the buttcrack of dawn for the event.

Yes, I could still trade for pins..... but how likely is that? How many are going to buy and run? LOTS! And those that don't - how many aren't going to superinflate (which I understand) the "trade value" of the pins on the spot?

So drag out, maybe get a marquee, and sit for 3 hours watching other folks oogling their prizes without much hope of trading. How frustrating is that? And at that time of day? Am I being a pessimist? Yes, but also a realist. I have a much better chance of trading at MyDPins in a few weeks. (At least now I guess I could buy some ice cream for breakfast and get a pin.)

Sorry, don't mean to ramble, this is just pretty new to me. I've been trading a long time and I'm still coming to grips with the new competitive disadvantage I'm at regarding the new DSF releases. But to essentially miss out on a trading event is just a little shy of canceling a birthday party. It's a little heartbreaking.

I just wonder if anyone else has even considered the event tomorrow morning or if it's simply all about the pin release.

I tried but was shushed by the others to not draw an issue because I was going to get my wristband. But I knew others behind me would not thanks to those two bozos.

They will likely still have the DSF trading event and a separate line for it. Unfortunately, they have yet to communicate that essential bit of information to the people who only want to trade. I suspect, you can simply go in and trade, since you won't have a wristband to buy pins, but they need to clarify where traders need to go specifically. <shakes head and rolls eyes at DSF>

People can go to just trade and go straight into the theater lobby @6:30 AM. No need to line up. the line is for the pin purchase only. I understand if that does seem pointless, but if so, you can show up right at 6:30

Plenty stay for the events at DSF and yes it is worth the while to attend. They do drawings for prizes and I've heard/seen some prizes include high value pins in their AP forms, etc. Come join the fun! It gets really crowded but still worth it.

Line up at the theater entrance. It says so in the rules (see last bullet point).

Yes, I know I can go just to trade. And, of course, they will have the event. But it's a little like attending a dinner party where you don't get to eat but you get to watch other people eat. I said before it was a little heartbreaking. Really, it's more than a little. David/April - hope to see you later today.

For those of you at DSF today and this whole weekend, (i can't be there I will be on a royal road trip) can you all find out what the LE300 monsters university pin looks like for the first 300 people to reserve vip seating for the movie release? they announced it but have no idea what the pin will look like. Monsters will be the hottest thing this summer. Anyone a Little monster?

Please someone can somebody give me status on the lines. I'm halfway there and I need to know if its worth it to drive out there or not

Chatting in the chat room now. There's already 75 for the 1 pm line. Only the first 25 in the 7 pm line get the whole set, the other 50 get the marquee.

Yeah, well... we got here this morning before 6am and got in line behind the long unofficial line instead of creating a new one. Guess what?!? We're still here and will barely make the cut for the 1pm distribution. I guess the nice guys really do finish last! :/

Well I'm glad I took a half day off work unpaid to go to a wristband release where no "lining up until 12:30" was permitted. this is getting so irritating....

We were thinking of just going for the event Nelson :) Although the room is small and it gets crazy and we don't usually end up doing many trades, but it's just nice to see some of our friends :) It would be great to see you there! Am definitely looking way more forward to the My-D Pins trading though, lots more room and alot more relaxed trading :)
